As I stated in a previous thread, I was having a hard time talking to Ian in regards to me going back to the states at the end of August when my visa runs out. Well, we have thoroughly talked it over and have decided for many reasons which I will state, it would be best that I stay here in the UK for a bit longer to wait with him. Some of the reasons are as follows, A). Yes I do have a place to go to but my girlfriend smokes as well as her husband. My ex will not allow our children to be in a home where there is smoking due to their asthma. I have to respect that as I have quit smoking and so has Ian. So I wouldn't even be able to have my children overnight if wanted. B.) (this is the main reason) Financially it is not feasible for Ian to send me back with enough money to pay for my own apartment, set up utilities, pay for food etc. until I can get a job which could take a while or it could be quick. We can't take the chance right now that I would get a job quick enough. He has to also take care of his son who at the moment lives with us. C.) I have spoken to my ex to make sure that the kids are ok and that the health of our oldest son is ok and he is fine. My ex has also said that he would rather me wait to come over so that I will be financially sound if not just for my own well being but also for the children. Fair enough.

Now, my issue is this. Will it effect Ian's immigration process with me applying for limited remain to stay in the UK? Also, with it, it will allow me to work. WIll my money that I earn while working here, will it be valid for the affidavit of support later on?

Any comments and or suggestions will be helpful and most wanted.

Thanks guys!

Honestly i can't see WHY your leave to remain in UK for a slightly longer period would affect *his* US immigration application.. They are two completely different animals. Obviously you don't want to settle in UK as you have a US immigration going thru - so you should be fine as far as that goes - I can't see why the US authorites would care if you stay a bit longer in UK - your goal is to leave (vis a vis your K3).
