Hello,

I'm going to South Korea this July from New York, however I have a slight issue that I hope you guys can help me out with.

I'm a permanent resident in the U.S and about a year and a half ago I had my name legally changed to my stepfathers last name. So my green card, drivers license and credit cards, etc... are all in my new name. However my passport is still under my old name.

Because this summer was my last chance to travel abroad before I'm swamped by college (I just finished my 1st year), I purchased a ticket to South Korea via JAL under my new name.

Now my issue is whether I'll encounter trouble with the airport when I leave and return, due to different names? I'll be traveling with my legal name change court document, school docs etc... just in case.

And finally do you guys think I might have an issue when I go to the South Korean embassy for a visa?

Just to reiterate, I'm a legal resident of the U.S with a green card, permanent residence, and I go to a State University.

Help on this situation would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You
