Hey everyone!! :) I am a Swedish national. I just graduated from a Arizona State University in December. I am now on OPT (my EAD card expires December 13, 2009).

My girlfriend and I just got engaged here in the states. We are planning a trip to Sweden in June. So now I have some questions:

1) Is it ok to get married in Sweden and then come back to the U.S to start all this paperwork? Or is it better to get married in the U.S after we get back from vacation? Which way would save us time? Is one better than the other?

2) What is the first step in the process of applying for the greencard? Does anyone have a link to like a "to do list" or something like that?

3) Approximately what is the total cost for the green-card process?

Thanks for taking the time to help me getting started!! This is all very overwhelming! :o
