My wife is from the Philippines. We filed the I-130 in August of 2008 and it was approved in March of 2009. I am about to pay the AOS fee but they warn to call them if we intend to make a status change.

Our delema. She has to go back to the Philippines by May 28th when her Tourist Visa ends.

Do we have time to make a Change of Status so she can interview here in the US, or should she proceed with returning to the Philippines and have her interview there?

I have heard doing a change of status can cause delays, thus she will not interview before her tourist visa expires.

On the other hand, she has heard if she returns to the Philippines it will take as much as 6 months to get her interview.

We need some advice!!!

Thanks in advance for all your help. This website has guided us to this point with great success and not glitches. We dont want to boo boo now!
