Sad situation. It seems like he is selfish and unwilling to adapt to his new surroundings. Many marriages have had to handle more intense obstacles than what you have described. Like others have mentioned, if you had filed for AOS, AP, & EAD in February, he would have been able to visit the UK in the summer and have been able to work in the summer as well. Meanwhile, he has put it on you to be the sole breadwinner in your family, all while you are raising your children and going to school.

I hope you share what everyone in this thread has suggested, about incurring a 3-year ban from ever entering the US again. Basically, this is not just a trip home, but it signals the end of your marriage. If he insists on leaving, I would also insist on divorce papers as well, so that you are able to eventually find someone else who loves you and that you are not financially liable for him anymore.

And all that stuff about your children "not being able to handle" UK schools is silly; the UK has plenty of special needs children in their school systems as well. While the boarding schools might be tougher than regular American high schools, he is stupid to suggest that the UK does not accomodate children of all different learning abilities.

Good luck.
