Hi,

I am in a dilemma. when my husband and I applied for a marriage license we subconsiously put our temporary address in state X where as my husband's permanent residency is in another state Y. My husband works in state X because his job nature requires him to move from state to state so that's why he keeps State Y as his permanent residence. I am on a F-1 visa and study in state X & have been living with my husband even before we got married. Does it matter what address we put on the the application? Does the ins look into the application for marriage license or just the marriage certificate is enough? The official certificate we got from the county doesn't state our addresses.

thanks.....

I believe the marriage certificate is the only official document. Once you get that, the application for a marriage license doesn't matter that much. That's just my opinion though. I've never had to submit the application for marriage license for anything. So, if I were you, I would only care about the marriage certificate, not the application for the license.
