I currently live and work in New York with E2 visa, and am going to get married with a US citizen living in California. I used to live in California four years ago when I met my fiancée. However, because of my visa status, I need to stay in New York now. Though we are hoping to live in CA together, even after I legally get married with my fiancée, I can't easily move from NY to CA unless receiving EAD.

When we submit I-485/I-130/I-765, my understanding is that we need to show evidence of bona fides of marriage and I'm worried that since we don't live together at the time of filing, there may be some risk for denial. Once EAD is approved, I'm sure to move to CA and live with my fiancée by a greencard interview.

Could anyone provide me with any good advice how to proceed greencard process without falling in such risk of denial because of separate residence addresses?

Thanks.
