Is lying about whether or not you have successfully given up smoking on a par with lying about getting a ####### from an intern? Just curious.

The really funny thing is that the article doesn't even manage to substantiate that Obama lied about it. It clearly states that Obama actually admitted to having fallen off the wagon. He admitted that in April 2008. The author thought he smelled the smoke back in August of 2007 and refers to an Obama campaign statement that he quit in and hasn't had a cigarette since February of that year. How about he fell off and got back on the wagon between August 2007 and April 2008?

But the Hillbots are reaching for each and every straw they think they see. Reaching and stretching is what they do best these days. Truly pathetic.

Bill's running for President again?!?!?!

Different question.

And her analogy was apples to oranges. Just pointing it out. ;)

The only apples to oranges here is whether Obama purposefully and knowingly lied about his quitting smoking - which based on this article is a pretty thin case to argue and rather irrelevant at the end of the day.

Bill did lie about the intern - no two ways about that.

The only way this could be a story is if Barack lied to someone about quitting and even then I think it's spurious. On the other hand, personally I think getting all strung out because someone lied about having extra marital sex is pretty bizarre too.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

And yet, Bill is not running for President.

Is it about lying? To me it's about not being healthy yet preaching you care about Americans, yet don't care about your own health.

So it's back to the sniper fire, then.

What does Bill not running for president have to do with anything? He was president - he was accused of lying.

Point is obvious - there are lies, and then there are lies. Clinton lied under oath about Lewinsky, Nixon lied about Watergate. And yet we should be apparently be worried about a guy running office who has a difficulty giving up a smoking habit - something many people can sympathise with.

Is it about lying?

Apparently it is to you. If you now say it isn't, then that is not all that honest either seeing the part you felt worthy of highlighting in the original piece as well as your statement posted earlier. But sure, flip flop a bit about it. Makes your poor attempt to smear the frontrunner even more pathetic.

Except that I don't like feeling that I wasn't being dealt with honestly. And as much as citizens who are suspect of the media might scoff at such a notion, many of us consider ourselves to be your representatives to help make sure our leaders are telling us the truth,

Lying about it? Not cool.
