Hello, I have a few questions about my AoS.

I entered on a K3 at the end of December last year, and at that time was informed I would need to file an I-539 to adjust my status within 120 days. Once again, it's all confusing and overwhelming lol. I'm assuming I'm adjusting to a new status as my options are A. Extention of stay in my current status B. A change of status and a space for me to fill in such or C. Reinstatement to student status.

To be frank, I don't even know the correct term for my current status in the U.S. I've filled and entered on a K3 and that's about it, so I have no idea on what my New status would even be.

Another question : An I-94 #, is it 5 digits?

Any idea?

I am a little confused. Why are you not filing the I-485 and adjusting your status to permanent resident? The K-3 is valid for 2 years and is a multi entry visa so you still have a long way till that visa needs to be be extended but if you file for your GC you should have that before your visa needs renewing and will also be able to get your EAD and might as well get the AP as well since it is included in the price. That is all you need.

You do not need to file anything within 120 days, I think that you have been misdirected to filing a form that you do not need. You do need to become a permanent resident via the I-485. The EAD will enable you to get a SSN and will help when adding to banks bills etc and you would be able to work.

Your current status is K3 visa holder. When approved for a GC you would be a permanent resident.

I 130 & I129F (K3) and AOS info in timeline
