One more quick question.

We never recieved a NOA 2 in the us, only approval notices in england. The forms ask for the NOA2 and we have not included it in the packet we are sending for the AOS procedure. We are sending the notices received in england stating that i have been approved for a k1 visa. I am in the us now after entering on the K1 visa last month. Is it likely they will want to see the NOA2 or am i just being overly cautious?

Thanks

I'm sorry, but you'll need to get a copy of the NOA2 for AOS filing. You can get one by filing form I 824.

When was your petition approved? I know there was a span of time where the service centers were not generating them properly (thus they would reissue one at no cost to you). Proving it was their fault might be difficult, though - but I'd at least try that before I spent $340 with form I 824.

hi thanks for your reply. we have sorted it now tho. we called uscis and they told us that the 2 forms along with a copy of the K1 visa is enought without the NOA2. They also said they would send us one out for free. They also told us the $340 form is not for that notice, even tho it implies it on the website. We got the name and badge number of the lady that spoke to us so we will include a note in with the packet stating exactly what we have and that we never received one.
