Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 31, 2012
Embassy Review : Hello All, I don't want to bore you with all the details as to how to get to the Embassy in London or how to get through Security etc. as I'm sure that's all been said more than enough elsewhere. I would like to say though that my experience was overall a very positive one and the people at the Embassy were nice and professional. If you are going through the NVC in New Hampshire than your file will be sent to the EMbassy in London and will include pretty much everything you will need on the day of the interview. Even though the immigration interview letter will not ask you to bring any proof of relationship, do yourself a favor and bring as many photos as you can. I was asked if I had any photos on me and showed the Consul a wedding album and then was further asked for older pictures which I was able to produce as well. I was certainly glad to have brought all those pictures with me, even though again, I was not asked to do so. The interview itself was not very long, maybe 10 minutes max. and the Consul was very nice. I was at the Embassy at 9 in the morning and left at 11.30, so after 2.5 hours everything was sorted.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
