Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 19, 2018
Embassy Review : My fiance had his appointment at 11:30 today Monday, Nov 19th 2018.

He was allowed to enter 15 minutes prior to his appointment.

He was called to the first window almost immediately to show Affidavit of Support, Employee letter, Birth Certificate and Police record. He said the lady was very pleasant and seemed very happy that he had is paper work all in order and accounted for.

Waited for about 25 mins to be called to the next window for interview.

He was asked Where we met, what I do, when the last time we saw each other and when we saw each other in 2017. My fiance said this officer was very formal and no nonsense.

At the end he was told congratulations and that he would get an email confirming delivery of his packet in 7 to 10 days.

He said it was very easy and didn't take nearly as long as he thought it would.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Charlotte
Event Description
Entry Date : 2018-12-11
Embassy Review : My fiance went through Charlotte for his POE on a K1 visa from London. We had read other reviews on here so he would know what to expect. He was greeted by a very friendly Customs Officer who took his finger prints and asked him to go pick up his luggage and handed him a card with a number on it to give to the next agent. After collecting his bags, he was shown to a waiting room where he sat for about 20 minutes as they went through his K1 packet. Another officer came into the room and said congratulations and let him know that he had 90 days on this visa. They didn't ask any questions. He said everyone was very pleasant and it took about an hour to get through it all.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
