Local US CIS Office Review: Seattle WA Review Topic: cis_topic Event Description Review Date : January 27, 2017 Embassy Review : I just had an interview yesterday (01/26/17) at Seattle field office in Tukwila. Me and my USC wife were nervous. We had 8:50 am appt, had breakfast in SeaTac going over some details and was at the security area around 8:25 am. As everyone already stated but just to make sure you bring $7 cash for parking! Some state that card is okay but I saw the sign cash only so just to be safe bring cash to avoid unnecessary delays. Security check was painless and check in process was also easy and staffs were very courteous. We were told to head out to 2nd floor. There's a big waiting area which kinda reminds me of airport like setting. I am pretty sure numbers are called not in order because my number 19 was called before 11. We were greeted by this nice mid aged gentleman and off to his office. He said thank you for coming to the adjustment of status interview and made us to stand up and swear to tell the truth. He was really professional but very very thorough. He didn't miss a single paper and with a pen and asking us to confirm for entire package basically. Then he took out a piece of paper to ask us how we met, our first date, when we started living together. He didn't miss no details but wrote down everything we said. Then he started asking the general question on I-485 that you are supposed to say no to. At the end he was saying he could approve I-130 at the spot but would like to review further for the I-485 and I will get a decision within 30 days via mail. Was a bit bummed out and he didn't take my EAD card. Though in 3 hours, it was updated to case was approved for both 130 and 485 Generally pleasant experience but be prepared for a long interview. We were there for 3 hours and he interview itself lasted nearly an hour! Harassment Level : Good
