Embassy Review : Got to the DR Counsulate around 8:30am /appt 10:00am... be very careful with the "buscones" we almost got caught by them. They want us to show the papers to see if everthing was there.. they only wants money.. We should go prepare. well pass that one.. we get into the gate gave out the interview letter then we get into security.. the security guard very friendly... my husband was carried a big bag with all our evidence of relationship.. We look around and ours was the biggest one.. I think my husband was embarrassed but I always told him we better bring everything because we don't know if we are going to need it. Well got in.. we got number 262... the first called window 6 after 45 minutes.. spanish girl.. ask for my husband original birth certificate, marriage, passport, medical envolope, police certificate nothing else.... she didn't ask anything else.. just look at us.. look for our folder and stable everything together and asked us to sit down that we will be called by the same number. After 2 1/2 hours we were called again Window 23... so nervous at that time.. but I saw must to the time getting out from the windows with good news.. I got relax... Window 23 approaching.. I saw that tall men.. I saw him going up and down the aisle looking into the number of the windows.. and I told my husband that is a counsul but a big one of them.. I hope not to get that one "mi amor" I told my husband.. but guess what.. we got himmmmm!! Nooooo!! Aproching to the windo he said good morning.. we said good morning.. ask our names. ask to pledge.. and then ask my husband for the finger prints.. very serious indivdual! Ok.. first questions...
Counsul: Please give me all your evidence about your relationship.. photos, emails, etc.
me and my husband: gave all that we had in our bag.. 5 photo albums, 2 binder,
Counsul: look into them..one by one
Counsul: Thank you.. Now You "ME" can sit down I will like to talk to your husband.....
Me: sit down
Husband: hmm stay in the window with him... I can not hear the counsul but I can heard my husband's aswered.
Questions after I asked my husband:
Where do you wife work? What is her title? HOw long she has been working there? How long she has been in the USA? At what age your wife moved to the USA? Do you wife has brothers and sisters? how many? names? what are their jobs? Are they married? hame of the inlaws? what are the inlaws jobs? Where are your wife parents? are they live together? if you wife have a good relationship with her mother? Where does the inlaws lives?
Counsel: pass the white letter... telling my husband to read it and go and get the passport when ready.
My husband look and me telling me to let's go... I was expecting to have few questions as well.. but guess what.. no interview for me.. just him.. We assumed that we were approved.. he didn't tells us anything.. we read the white paper. and yes were were approved after asking an officer to make sure.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
