Consulate Review: Sri Lanka
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 26, 2016
Embassy Review : Issued 221g Yellow slip for IRS transcript of sponsor's. Also they kept all pictures and chat logs I've taken to the interview.
Questions were,
* Who is petitioning you?
* Date of your marriage?
* Wife's Birthday?
* How long have you known each other?
* How did you two get acquainted?
* Describe how the relationship evolved?
* How many times has she visited you?
* Did her relations attend the wedding?
* Wife's job?
* How did I know the sponsor?
* What am I doing here?
* If I have any relations in the states?

It was a long interview lasted more than 15 minutes!

At the gate they only allow 4 people at once so just stay on the queue.
Phone/Electronics should be kept at the security and they will issue a pass for that.
Your bags and wallet will be scanned.
Walk toward the building and there is another scanner there.
Interview room is on the left side. You should go to the counter in the order you came. You should hand over originals to the counter and they will do finger scan. After the scanning is done wait till you hear your name on the speaker.(Interview will on same room just different room numbers)
*GAP BETWEEN THE INTERVIEWER IS SO SMALL BIG ALBUMS WON'T FIT THROUGH THERE*

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
