Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 14, 2016
Embassy Review : I just had the interview in London. The security, fingerprinting and document submission took longer than the interview itself. The lady who took my documents i.e. appointment letter, passport, birth certificate, police clearances, complimented me on my youthful looks :-) The interview was scheduled for 12pm and I was allowed to arrive half an hour early. My ticket was finally called for the interview at about 3pm, the last ticket of the day!

The officer was a very friendly lady with an American accent who complimented me on my yellow leather jacket, necklace and nails :-) She then asked the following questions after taking my fingerprints again and asking me to take an oath:

1. Where was I born and where was my fiancé born?

2. How did we meet?

3. When did it progress from friendship to romance?

4. How many times have we seen each other since the relationship turned romantic?

5. Where does he live?

6. What does he do for a living?

7. How did he become an American citizen?

8. What do I do for a living?

9. Where have I lived in my lifetime?

I am pleased to inform you that your application has been approved! Your passport will be ready for collection in a couple of weeks.

All this took about 5 minutes :-)
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
