My Fiance and finally finished our Interview at the Embassy on Wednesday Sept 16th, we are so happy and excited.

Just a few things to help people in the future.
1) If the Petitioner can make it, I really suggest you go for moral support of your fiance or wife, and because it will help establish relationship and should help the interviewer in the approval. I have read other people say it before just GO and I really agree, even though they say you don't need to be there, it's better than being denied.
2) Make sure all papers are in order, it's fairly straight foward and I don't really see it necessary to have a laywer unless you have a more complex case, luckily in my case my fiance is my lawyer and our case was straight foward .
3) Wear warm clothes, it's Bogota the weather is crazy and one second maybe clear and than raining, especially if your coming from another city besides Bogota and you are unaware of the weather. There is a small coffee shop iguana something, it's a good idea to drink some coffee to stay warm and awake.

The Interview Process

My Fiance and I arrived at the Embassy in Bogota at around 645AM, luckily my Fiance lives only a few miles away so it gave us a little more time to get ready. Once we arrived there were a lot of people waiting. There were 4 lines, and K visa's go to line 3, where you will receive a green sticker. It really wasn't too long before we were going through security. Once you get inside the embassy there are many windows, but you will be directed from the beginning what to do. Once inside you will be directed to wait in a line where you will be handed the K Folder. The instructions are in place as which papers to put first. For the petitioner they just ask for I134 form, 1040 from last year, and Company letter. I have read other places that you need 3 years tax, as well as paystubs and bank information, but none of this was asked to be placed in the folder. I suggest have all finacial papers just in case especially if you don't meet the finacial requirement.

Once we had all our information in the folder it was just a waiting game. We got some coffee and sat around and got cold. Finally after maybe an hour later my fiance was called up to window 31 or 32. At this point my fiance went up handed in our folder. My Fiance said she thought that was the interview, because she was hammered by at least 10 questions, it almost sounded like a pre-screening. My Fiance was told by the lady at the window to wait for fingerprints.

Again the waiting game began, a lot of people sitting around bored, not much to do but sit and think and get more nervous. Another hour or hour and half passed and my fiance was called up for fingerprints, the lady here was very rude, she kept saying she had called my fiance name 20 minutes ago, but we listened carefully and never heard her name. But there was one intercom that was very hard to understand, so maybe that was the reason. We waited for about 10 more minutes in front of window 3, and they finally took my fiances fingerprints.

The waiting game began again, this is the most nervous time, waiting for the interview and what to expect. Luckily was actually the shortest of the waiting, my fiance was called to Window 6, and she jetted towards the window with me following behind. I waited behind the line getting ready for my portion of the interview. I watched my finace take out photo's and talking. I was a little nervous what questions were being asked, than all the sudden my fiance walked up to me smiling, I asked her if I needed to go for my part of the interview and she said no, she was approved, many hugs and kisses. The total interview time was maybe 2 minutes, we smiled paid our fees and went for lunch, we were done before 12pm.

Thanks to everybody for previous posts, it really helps to hear what other people experience, and prepare for the interview.
