We had our interview on May 12, we arrived at 7 am and there was a short line outside the embassy for everyone and we waited a short maybe 20 min before they moved the line into the staging area before going to the first window at the embassy.
When its your turn in line you go up with your passport, your ds160 and your appointment letter, They gave to us a card based on what interview we had i think ours were purple, (i did attend with my fiance) after that you move to a different line to go through security. DO NOT BRING PHONES OR BAGS TO EMBASSY AT ALL I REPEAT DO NOT BRING ANY PHONES OR BAGS TO EMBASSY THEY DO NOT HOLD THEM FOR YOU AND YOU CAN NOT BRING THEM INTO THE EMBASSY WITH YOU SO PLEASE DONT BRING YOU PHONES OR ANYTHING JUST YOUR PAPERS.

Luckily for us we knew someone at the embassy that held our phones in his car until we finished, 4 hours later lol.

When we get through security we go straight back and go into a waiting area where there are 2 sets of 5 windows, we are sent back to the 9-15 window numbers, everyone just sits and waits to be called to a window. We waiting i want to say 1 and 30 min or maybe 2 hours before we were called to the window, where the lady was so so nice and explained to us that we have to go back out and to a second building to pay for our fee, 265 dollars.

The lady will give you directions to the window to pay. very simple. only a 3 min walk.

After you arrive just go to the window farthest left without a number on it.
Give them the paper the first lady gives you and pay your fee. You will get your receipt.

Take your stuff back to the area of the first window and staging and just wait for them to call you back to a window.

At this time we both went to the window and it was a different lady, she asked if i was the fiance and was very nice also and kindly asked me to take a seat because she has to do the interview alone. She asked how we met and my income. Very simple and was 5 min roughly i think. She asked her to take a seat again and we waited to be called to room 15.

4 hours we waited from time of arriving to being in the room for the final interview.

We entered and there are a couple seats then a window and a computer on other side.

We had a man interviewing us who did speak great spanish and english and was extremely nice asked how we were doing and if we preferred english or spanish and we chose english.

He asked about my income and family and how we met, we answered and he said approved. The interview was not even 5 min literally maybe 3 min. We do have reason to believe that the lady that interviewed my fiance alone is the one who approves the visa, the reason we think this is because the man already had the signed paper for approval and we did not see him sign it so either he approved us before the interview and was just testing us, or the lady at the window approved us.

Our experience was great just a long wait for a 3 min interview lol. Income question will probably come up for everyone.

Everyone who went before us were approved that day.

After that he gave us our approval letter and we left. Now we have the visa sealed and it only took 1 week to get via dhl.

Really easy interview and super friendly people there.
