We had our interview yesterday in Montreal. I really do not have much to add as the detail in my beautiful friend Sylea other members posts is spot on. We did run into a minor snag because we had previously filed a K1 visa and they still had it in their system. It took a while for them to sort it out but it wasnt a huge problem. We got there at 8:30 for our 9 am interview and the whole process took about 2 hours. They wouldnt let me go into the actual interview with my husband but I was allowed to speak to and present all the paperwork at the first window we were called to. My husband was suprised at how quick the interview itself was as they only asked him My name, address, where I work and how long we have known each other. The interactions we had at the first window really felt much more like an interview as she asked us questions and collected our paperwork. All in all this step really does seem like a formality as you are pretty much already approved by the time you get to this stage. As long as your answers match what they have in their files and you have all the documents they ask for you are golden.
