Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiance had his interview today. He was approved! His interview was at 1:30. The interviewer at the window was late and arrived an hour later at 2:30. He then waited for about two hours. The man asked him for my I-134 and tax information. He asked him what his fiancee did for a living in the U.S. He told him everything was in order and to go to the Consulate's window (window #4). The man there asked him if he had been to the U.S. before and for how long (once in 2000, tourist visa) and where we met (U.S.). He asked my fiance why he had applied for a tourist visa to Miami last year (my fiance told him we were planning a vacation there, it would have been a half-way point more or less for us to meet but he was denied). My fiance then told the officer that not getting that tourist visa was not a problem. I had managed to visit him 4 times within the last year!! The officer then told him he was approved and his visa would be available for pickup next week. He paid the cashier and left. My fiance said everyone was courteous and pleasant.
