First i want to thank everyone on vj for your help and encouragement, it has been a blessing! We stayed at a new hotel in the area called Hostal San Fransisco De Asis. It was pretty nice, and my fiance got to take his first hot shower....lol. We got up at 3 am got ready and checked out. We made it to the consulate at 4:30am. There were a few people in line already. We got out of the vehicle and the buscones were in our face! Saying that the photos needed to be stapled, and if not they were going to send us outside, but i told my fiance not to pay attention, they just want money. They were also telling us that the photos had to be bigger than 2x2. The ones we had were just fine. We waited in line painfully till 6:30am then they finally let everyone inside. I didnt have a purse or electronics so i went right through the line. I do want to let you know that the fiance visas there are called "visa de residencia" so you will sit near the cafeteria. We were given #102...which they dont call in order

First we were called to window 16, and the lady there was really nice. She asked for his banco popular receipts, certificado de buena conducta, the ds156, photos, and passport. She also asked for copies of my divorce decree and his birth certificate. It does not need to be translated to english (birth certificate). We were asked to sit down and wait. A while later we were called to window 15 for fingerprints. Then we waited again. Then we were called to window 19. We got an american looking skinny man with glasses. He seemed nice, but asked alot of questions.

Fiance:
How did you meet?
How did you propose and where?
Where does her parents live?
How many kids does she have?
Who does she live with?
What does she do (work)?
When was she last sick?
Are there any dominicans in texas?
How often did she send money?
Do you have family in the us?
Have you ever been to the us on a visa?
When are you getting married?

Me:
When was the last time you were sick?
How much do you make a year?
How did you meet?
Does he have any family in the states?
When and where did he propose?
When you met in person in june why didn't you marry then?
How often did you send money?
Are you nervous?

On the money question, he asked for receipts because i said 3 times and my fiance said 5 times. I thought it was three because i had a paper receipt with two dates but also had two receipts. The officer was intimidating because sometimes he would shut the microphone off and speak to the coworker. He would also ask the questions in a way that he had to repeat the question several times. I had already seen the green ticket back in the first window 16 and also when the officer was speaking. With the glare on the window i couldn't see the officers face, and i could only hear him and that bothered me. He slowly stamped the green ticket and said "felicidades visa aprobada" go pay domex.
