Our interview was January 22, 2013. The interview was for my K1 Visa and my kid's K2 Visas.
We decided to stay at Le Square Phillip Hotel & Suites. It was a 3 min walk to the consulate. A very clean, nice suite. Perhaps a little more expensive, but I wanted to be close by as we were walking to the consulate in minus -20 degrees weather.
We got to the consulate about 7:10 am and were 2nd in line. About 7:30 am they opened the doors and let the first guy and us in to go through security. They asked for our passports and appt. letter with the Loomis confirmation. We took off our coats, hats, mits, emptied our pockets and went through. My daughter was drinking a chocolate milk that we had gotten at Timmies on our way, and the security guard told us that she would have to finish it before going up the elevator. I had only brought my folder of paperwork... nothing else.. I had left keys, cell phone etc. back at the hotel.
We went down a flight of stairs and waited by the elevator until the security guard came at 8am to open the elevator. By then there were a lot of people waiting. When we got on the elevator we headed for the back of it because I knew the doors opened at the back. The guard packed as many of us as he could onto the elevator so it was a squishy ride to the top.
Once the elevator doors opened up, I knew to turn to the left, and then left again and headed straight for the counter where we were given numbers. I got C3 so I was third by that time. My kids sat down and waited for me to get the number. No sooner had I gotten the number, a lady on the loudspeaker called C3 to window 3. I didn't even have time to sit down and wait.
At window 3, she took all of our paperwork. (There were 3 applications in total). If you have kids going through this process with you, you definitely need to bring court documents to prove custody.
I also suggest that if you have tax transcripts from your USC fiance, to bring them. They are not on the P3 list, but she asked if I had his 2011 Tax transcript, and I did.. I actually had 2011, 2010 and 2009. I offered all 3 years and she took them all. She did the digital fingerprints of me only. The kids weren't required to do that.
She was even happy to make additional copies of the I134 Affidavit of Support, because I had only brought 2 copies, but she wanted one copy for each application.
After all the paperwork was handed in, she told me to take a seat and that I would be called by the same C3 number. We waited about 35 - 40 minutes before being called in to the interview room.
We all went in and it turns out that I got the lady with the dreadlocks. She was very pleasant, asked me the ages of the kids. I told her they were 10 and 12 and she said that she didn't need to speak with them, that they were welcome to stay with me or wait in the waiting room.
She asked me how I met my fiance, when we met in person, how the relationship came to be, and when we got engaged. She also asked me where my fiance lived, and his occupation. She never asked for any additional evidence of relationship (even though I had printed tons of pictures, boarding passes, skype logs, text logs, etc.) I didn't need them.
After shuffling through my file and reading a bit more, she told me that our visas were approved and she handed me the "Welcome to USA" letter. Yay! 
She said that I would get an email when the visas were available for pickup at the Loomis location that I had chosen, likely about 5 days from today.
We were out of there and back at the hotel by 10 AM. Overall a really easy and pleasant experience. I was thrilled to finally have that approval!! :D
