So this is all from my fiancee:
She lives in Lleida, Spain so she left the medical files and x-rays there in Spain to pick up on the day of the interview since it's so far that it would be silly to go back just to pick those up. She got them at 10 AM and her interview was 10:30 AM. She got to the embassy on time and they searched her and her things, held on to her cell phone since they arn't allowed, and let her in. She took a number and sat in a room with a bunch of other people waiting to be called. When she finally got called, she went to one of the many windows (like a bank with the glass dividers and all) and the man pulled out the K-1 petition, looked through some of the papers and photos and then went through a checklist he had asking her to pass him all the required documents (DS forms, medical forms, affidavit of support, police certificate, application payment, passport photos.. whatever else that was required). That took about 7 minutes and she was asked to sit down and wait again. She ended up waiting for 2 hours until the next guy called her up to another window. He took her fingerprints digitally and asked her how she had met me. Before she was finished explaining he said ok ok.. and went on to tell her about when she would get the visa and passport in the mail, and how not to open the one that says Do Not Open and that she would need to carry all these things with her to the Port of Entry. The visa would arrive within a week.

She explained that everyone was really nice, and that it seemed very informal and nothing at all like what either of us had imagined. It was as if she was just opening a bank account or getting her driver's license. And that was that.
