Said and I met in Italy in April 2009. It was a certainly a chance meeting as I was in Italy with my sister who broke her ankle two days into our vacation. Since she broke her ankle and was hospitalized for the duration of the vacation I found myself alone in Italy. Determined for my trip not to be ruined I traveled around by myself. I was coming home from a long day in Florence and I had to change trains in Padova Italy headed to Vicenza and I decided to get a diet coke from the vending machine for dinner : ) So, there I was minding my own business when a guy approached me and asked if I spoke Italian and I replied no I spoke English. He then started asking everyone that passed us by if they spoke English, all the while I was thinking this guy has something REALLY important to say to me. Interestingly enough he was able to find someone to translate and we wound up riding the same train, all of us to our next destination. He at that point started asking my questions, why was I in Italy, was I married etc.....in the end he asked for a number and said he would like to see me again. I did not have a phone so I asked for his......I thought about it all night whether I would call or not and finally decided to the next evening, decided I might like an insiders guide around Italy. So, I called him and the next four days and nights we spent together until I left and here we are 4 months later and another visit under the belt and just trying to figure out not to be so far away from one another!
