  1. I called border patrol and they said I could cross as long as I have my citizen certificate.
  2. I don't live close to a passport center and wanted to travel within 2 weeks.
  3. Hi. Since I have to surrender my green card after my citizenship oath, does anyone know if I can drive across the border with only my nexus card? I would like to attend a family event in Canada shortly after my oath. Will I have any issue getting back home into the US? Thanks Sly

    N-400 Question

Ok, so not required to send with application but rather needed for interview. Thanks

    N-400 Question

Also, it looks like photo is only needed if you reside outside of the US?

    N-400 Question

Perhaps my fellows Canadians can confirm this? Surprisingly it looks like I have very little to attach under the 5 year rule for N-400. Unless I missed something it's essentially copy of my green card, payment and proof of termination for other marriages. I do have the following 2 questions though: For proof of termination of other marriages, is it only for myself or do I also need to include my wife's prior marriage? Also I am not 100% clear with the reference to dependent spouse and support payments. I assume support payments to a former spouse (divorced) is not part of this? Thanks Sly

It also doesn't look like I need to get photos sent with the application?

    Moving back to Canada Question.

Definitely a condition for Green Card, but I don't see anything where citizenship should be impacted.

Can anyone address my 2 questions? Thanks

Good question. I assumed not but if anyone knows please pipe in. Thanks

Unless I missed something it's essentially copy of the green card, payment and proof of termination for other marriages. The rest does not apply to me. I do have the following 2 questions though: For proof of termination of other marriages, is it only for myself or do I also need to include my wife's prior marriage? Also I am not clear with the reference to dependent spouse. I do send support payments to my ex-wife, however she is not a spouse since we are divorced. Does that part apply then or is this only for people that have a support obligation to a current spouse? Thanks Sly

    Moving back to Canada Question.

What is current timing to get citizenship? Assuming I were to apply now, what major milestones can I expect and when? Thanks. Sly
