Hello,

Kind of new here and not sure if I am posting this correctly. Trying to complete the new version of the I-864 to correct my daughter's errors (per National Visa Center). Part 5: Sponsor's Household Size - the number "1" is automatically populated in #8. I'm not sure why it is automatically populated and the total I must put in #8 is 3. It plainly states to "add together Part 5 Item numbers 1-7" - and my answer should be 3. If I am to add how can it auto populate with an answer?

I called the National Visa Center. They are just as confused about this as I am. They directed me to USCIS who declined to help me stating they are now allowed. They referred me to an immigration officer or a notary. In the meantime I reviewed the online instructions and I read "if you or someone else is completing Form I-864 on a computer, this box will auto-populate." - This doesn't make sense to me. I'm not completing the form online - I simply printed it.

Has anyone else experienced this?
