We met in Egypt in March of 2012. We filed a petition for a fiance visa in June of 2012. Interview was April, 7 2013. The consulate officer denied the visa and sent our petition back to USCIS recommending revocation. They did not give us an offical denial because there was no new information presented by this consulate officer and so instead they allowed the petition to expire. We got married June 2013 and filed an I-130 in September. It was approved November, 2013. Case was completed processing at NVC 2/28/2013. During that time my husband moved to Dubai and obtained a resident Visa and 1 week before I submitted the request to change the embassy to Abu Dhabi, the interview was scheduled in Cairo for 8/26/2014. My husband is unable to travel and so we initated a request directly to the US embassy in Abu Dhabi to transfer the case from Cairo on 7/1 and today we heard back that they will request the file and will notify us when it is received. If we have not heard from them in 3 months, to contact them again. So the journey continues...2 years and counting
