I just called NVC for the third time since my NOA2 date and kept getting the same answer "up to 60 days from date of NOA2"

Then I asked if the case received if it is possible to to receive text or email message? The answer was "NO"

Then I asked if NVC would mail out a notice of the case number? The answer was "NO, the case will be sent straight to the Embassy no notice will be sent out to your home address...Just keep calling back and check if we have a case number for you"

By the way, in each time I called, it was not a long wait, first time the call was picked up right away, the two other times, calls were picked up in less than 5 minutes. Have your WAC xxxxxxxxxxx ready since right away the operator will ask for it prior to saying anything else...Then the notice date of the NOA2 from the I-797.

Also, I did email NVC with NOA2 on subject line and all the information regarding myself and the beneficiary, I also send them my Cell phone and Email address...They did respond within three days telling me they do not have case number yet. But would they follow up and mail or text me, I don't really know.

I wonder if each operator have different response or answer...any comments on what I have wrote?

I believe they are running behind. I will call again next Monday and see if they have a case number or not. Good luck to both of us...will update you if I do have a case number by then.

You can call NVC as much as you like but the problem is not with them. The problem is that USCIS hasn't even sent the approved petitions.

How do you know that, and why would the USCIS not send them to NVC? Some members already have a case number and their NOA2 one week prior to my NOA2!!

Have you read the other recent threads about approved i-129fs and NVC? If not, do it.

USCIS is for some reason sitting there with the approved petitions without sending them to NVC right away. Some agents send the petitons faster - some slower (as with everything else in this process). When people call USCIS about it they're told that it can take up to 90 days for USCIS to send the approved petitions to NVC.

NVC is fast. This is a USCIS problem.

NOA2 June 9th still nothing from Nvc and USCIS keeps saying 90 days

I'm sorry to hear that. Half of USCIS must be on vacation or something, but how hard can it be to send approved petitions? Doesn't seem like something that'd take a lot of effort or time, but who knows.

I cross my fingers it gets to NVC this week or the next. This is a horrible and extremely unnecessary wait.

I guess there is nothing to do about it but wait while we are under the mercy of the hands of USCIS. Thanks for the info!

As others have said, the petition is still in the hands of USCIS till NVC receives it. If you call and talk to a tier 2 at USCIS, or email the followup email for CSC, they should be able to give you an actual answer on the status of your approved case. If you call and get someone unhelpful, call back and try again later.

USCIS
4/29/2016 Mailed I-129F
5/16/2016 NOA1
/6/1/2016 Expedite request
6/2/2016 Supporting documentation requested
6/6/2016 Supporting documentation faxed
6/13/2016 Expedite approved
6/14/2016 I-129F approved (via case status, no NOA2)
6/23/2016 NOA2 hardcopy
7/6/2016 Called USCIS, sent approved petition July 1, 2016

NVC
7/8/2016 NVC Received
7/12/2016 Case number and IIN assigned
7/13/2016 Left NVC

Consulate
7/15/2016 Case ready at embassy(wouldn't schedule appointment as package hasn't arrived)
7/18/2016 Case arrived embassy
7/19/2016 Sent packet 3
7/19/2016 Received packet 3
7/20/2016 Sent packet 3 again, first time wasn't good enough
7/20/2016 Received packet 4
8/2/2016 Medical
8//3/2016 Interview APPROVED

Scandi and Taylor are both absolutely correct. It's all about the USCIS they aren't sending out the petitions therefore NVC hasn't received them and isn't able to process or assign case numbers!

My noa2 is June 8th and still nothing. Super frustrating and I get the same answer from USCIS- give us 90 days. That was unhelpful so I called again and again and they said a tier 2 could talk to me about it... Never got any calls back and they said the call back can take 3-5 days...

I also sent email to NVC and inquiry to USCIS but I doubt they will be helpful. No clue what to think right now and it's super frustrating seeing people with the same NOA2 date or even later already at NVC and embassies with interviews and your just sitting there like- why me?

It also is alittle assuring however I'm sure to all of us that we aren't the only ones and there is handful of us in this situation.

Let's pray and wish each other good luck and ofcourse update each other

You may be asking the wrong questions. I always asked to get transferred to a tier 2. The tier 1 never took my information down. I would get transferred, type in a callback number, and wait 1-3 hours for the call. Never once when I scheduled the callback I didn't get the call.

I've done all that! Since Friday I've done exactly that and they never called back, punched in the call back number everything and then yesterday when I expressed that to the agent she said yes I need to wait 3-5 days call volumes are high. Maybe I have no luck idk....
