Traveling/entering from any state

Hey... I want to know if I have to fly to the state where my Fiance lives at first entering the US on my K1... We are planning for me to visit a family memeber In a different state from the one he resides.. Will this be any problem at port of entery...

no It will not be problem. You can fly to any POE. After you get thru customs and immigration at POE. You can travel anywhere in USA

OP you can arrive in any state just make sure they have the

correct address U will finally be so the GC goes to the right place

For the reason stated above, to visit family.

Why would it be suspicious to visit a family member before heading to meet the fiance? Can you show any cases? Is this based on your opinion?

not really a lot of people have relatives in he USA and maybe the travel plan cost less visiting family before being with fiancé. will be suspicious if they had not discuss it. I am sure they did

Thank U all for the reply... And for the memeber who ask why travel to see family before fiance... Sounding suspicious... What is suspicious about that... My fiancé and I are together 24/7s since we met and through our entire process so me having family time is no biggi for us.. Thank for everyone who understand and not judge mental

I don't think it sound suspicious...it sounds like good planning. No worries.

Nebraska does not have an international airport. I personally live about 4.5 hours from the airport so I can fly to a bigger city to fly internationally.

so I have a question. I have a job offer in kuwait and my wife's application is now at NVC. I'm planning to let her stay with her sister in Las Vegas while I'm in kuwait. I'm from South Carolina.

if ever, is it okay if POE of my wife will be direct in Las Vegas since I will not be in US during her arrival. we're planning to tell this to the console during her interview.

As far as where to enter the US - just be aware some airports have more traffic than others. I personally would avoid Miami - I've had to endure VERY long queues just to enter the country (net alone try to get paperwork processed).

If you have flexibility I'd choose a big international airport that doesn't get a lot of immigrant travel.

Sensible thing to do is choose an airport that's close to where you

want to go...example FL...Miami sucks, Ft Lauderdale can be utilized

short driving time depending on time of the day.

NY both JFK & LaGuardia is gridlock after 3 PM...Newark in NJ the

neighboring state is a bit better (busy too) but if you goto NJ, after getting

your luggage theres a counter you pay to get on courtesy bus into Manhattan

(just a few bucks) then across the bridge to Port Authority, your folks can pick you

up there. Cheaper than a cab to cross stateline
