Can anyone shed some light on this particular item?

I just received an invoice for me and each child individually. We filed together but we are each required to have our own application. I thought I understood from the VJ boards that we would only be required to pay one AOS fee. I was also told this by someone at NVC when first inquiring about our case numbers that we would only have to pay the $88 one time as well.

I don't want to pay more than once if it isn't necessary, obviously. But I also don't want to delay things.

Any thoughts?

USCIS - 40 DAYS
2012-10-30: FedEx delivered I-130 to Chicago Lockbox Mail Room
2012-11-01: NOA1 by email - MSC
2012-11-02: $420 (x3) debited from our account
2012-11-05: NOA1 hard copies received, Priority Date 2012-10-30

I can't edit the post so I'll update here... it turns out that even though we got 3 invoices, and even though it appeared as needing to be paid under each individual login, once I paid the first one, they all changed to IN PROCESS. And I was able to generate a receipt and cover page for each application.

I hope this helps anyone else wondering about this.

I was thinking about your photo question and now I am wondering if my daughter is going to need 1 or 3 photos for her medical. It could go either way. 1 because she’s a CR-2 or 3 because she’ll be 18 at the time of the medical. :wacko:

LOL... I went through this whole process just in 2011 with my mum's petition( which was already halfway by the time I discovered VJ) and I still feel like a newbie in all of this. I knw I wnt remember it for later . Like Darnell said I wrote some stuff down last time but too lazy to go dig it up :bonk:

09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK
