This is a great time to read the Guides here at VJ.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

DO you I have to update NVC with my email address? What will happen if I don't give them my email? How will they correspond?

no email at all?

you'll be on the slow postal train, then (which will suck, much)

come on - call NVC 2 weeks after approval date, exchange emails with the nice tele-operator,

and kick it all into PLAY. Having an IIN is frickin useful, when ya wants to actually utilise the online payment portal.

You had speed on the petition approval - do you want speed with the Visa Application Processing?

or no ?

FWIW - postal processing (no telephone, no email) takes about 9 months at NVC, 3 months for each thing.

I invite you to find LingChe's NVC ShortCut on the wiki here at VJ, and then read it. It's INFO-DENSE - so be prepared to read it much, and often.

:D thanks Darnell. As much as I would love to have it all over and done with in a few months, my wonderful mother, whom I love with all my heart, would much rather it be delayed :bonk: ...yea I know...

Her reaction when I called to let her know her application was approved: " It's too soon! I was thinking of coming there in two years!" .. so I don't think she would care if it was delayed 9 months.

I know I feel horrible. Here I'm blessed with a quick approval and there my mom's being a pain in the

anyways, I'm going to give NVC my email when I call.
