I'm not sure if I should get police certificate or NBI only. Do I need to get both (police certificate and NBI)? I live here in manila since birth.

Thanks in advance!

if u just stay in manila NBI will do......

beacuse before i am worried to about NBI and police clearance,

but i only submitted NBI...and they don't ask for police clearance, and i've been out for the country for 6 months......

but during the interview they don't tackle it much......so i guess u will be fine with NBI..........

but to make it sure get both.........

my hubby never went out of the Philippines for more than 6 months so he didn't need foreign police certificates. but he has lived in 4 different places since he was born. just to be sure he got police clearances from all those four different places. because we knew someone who never left the philippines and she was asked for a police certificate (one from manila and one from the province where she was from).

When we got the different police clearances some required different requirements than the rest. In manila, they just needed the cedula and payment for the police clearance. here's a tip: they will ask you if you want it "rushed"... because you won't be able to get the police certificate in manila right away. just pay the extra 50 pesos for the "rush". Police clearances for manila are located at UN avenue across from 7-11. Then when we got the other police clearances, my hubby needed a barangay clearance too from where he used to live. Getting police clearances in Quezon can be obtained at QC City Hall. and they'll give it to you right away.

Don't forget to indicate that the purpose is for traveling abroad to the United States.

God bless! Good luck!

Okay, this one has gotten me a bit confused, also.

My fiance' lives in a small village of about 2K{guesstimate}. She spends much of her time in the 'big' city of 125K, which is a 3hr ferry ride away. PLUS, she went to college in Cebu for over 6mos.....SO....

Should she obtain, barangay, village, city, and Cebu clearances...PLUS NBI ? My head is spinning, LOL.

And on that subject, is it possible to co-ordinate everything near the interview?

Can the NBI, CENOMAR, & Passport be obtained quickly there in Manila prior to, or around the medical?

Moving on w/life

i really don't wanna say what she should and should not get. but its better to be safe than sorry during the interview. the consulates can ask for ANYTHING. so we just have to come prepared. we knew someone at teh NBI so we were able to getour clearance on the same day because my hubby had a hit. apparently someone had the same name as him and was wanted. so we would've waited for like 3 days. but since we were bale to talk to the person we knew there, we only waited 1 hour. The cenmar on the other hand, we just called the NSO hotline at 737-1111 and ordered it delivered diorectly to our house in manila. We paid 430 for each cenmar. Cenmar because we're married. It would be called a CENOMAR if one is single and planning to contract marriage. Try to get the latest one because you never know what documents the CO might ask from you. It took one week and one day for our cenmar to be delivered.

try to give yourself ample time to get the requirements before the interview. good luck!

if i were u guys just comply everything u need,NBI(ofcourse its needed)CENOMAR,and POLICE CLEARANCE

different people has different situation, because during interview u will never know what they gonna ask

"U must always have to be prepare in every battle"

in my case they never asked about my cenomar and police clearance since i am out of the country for 6 months...

it just varies on the flow of ur interview how u will gonna prove ur relationship to ur petitioner...and prove that u are not fraud....

anyway during interviews questions only based on what they read on ur applications both beneficiaries and petitioner

so my adviced know ur partner so well, don't forget about important dates or memories of ur life being together, know ur fiance/fiancee/husband/wive's past.....

what had happend to their past relatioship....things like that.........

don't forget to memorized numbers/ important numbers/like date,year, month.

based from my experienced it all memorable dates they asked.....

good thing i am prepared i read my husband forms......and prior to my interview we already talked about it,like what if they asked me like this and that what am i gonna say....it works for us....

having a good communication works for u better........

anyway good luck......

btw this is just a tip during interview:this is what i did...

1. Be ready

2. Read all the forms u signed

3. Know ur partner so well

4. and when you're already at the embassy Ask assistance if you don't know where to go and what to do.

5. always smile,be kind and be patient.....

6. always pay attention ,it's either be your name or your number will be called

7. Listen carefully with the questions being raised

8. Answer confidently

9. Stay calm and relax

10. And most of all PRAY and ask guidance
