Event Description
Review Date : June 17, 2014
Embassy Review : I applied for AOS through diversity visa. My appointment was at 9am on June 11, 2014, and I arrived the USCIS office at 8am. It was very early, and they won't call you earlier than your appointment time so you should be fine if you go there 15 min prior. There are 3 different doors and the lady at the reception tells you which door the IO will call you, so you sit close to that door. I called in at 8:58am, the IO was very polite and friendly. He swore me in as soon as I walked in, and started looking through my file. He asked me my address, last time and place I entered the United States, and my mom's and dad's names. Then he went through the I-485 questions. He asked for the originals of my birth certificate and my I-20s/College enrollment forms.

All went very smoothly and he told me that I would hear about an update by the end of the day/the next day. I have received the USCIS email the next morning and I was approved!! Now waiting for my GC in the mail!
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
