  1. Hello everyone, I saw a post or two regarding adminstrative process for Lebanese people, or I should say anyone who is dealing with the US embassy in Lebanon. anyway I have been in Ap since 24th of NOV 2018, last update 24 of Jan 2019 but still in AP, anyone having same experince or had this experince please reply with for how long your case has been in AP./how long it took to over come AP. at this point it seems forever 😅😂😂
  2. Got my passport with the visa back today. To give everyone an idea or the waiting time post interview; Interview Date was Dec 18, 2018 My visa was issued on Thursday Dec 20, 2018. I got the notice of the tracking # and that package was picked up by Canada post on Thursday, Dec 27, 2018 (it sounds like a long time but, there was the weekend in between as well as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing day, which were all weekdays, and offices r closed, so i lost 3 business days) The delivery date kept getting delayed, first it was Dec 28, 2018 and then changed to Dec 31, 2018. During both those days the status updates were very slow. Again, I had weekends and New Year's Holiday in the way. On Dec 31, 2018, I was getting concerned about my package since I had a flight booked for Jan 3, 2019, from before my interview date. So, I called Canada Post customer service, created a service ticket and talked to the supervisor about my situation. She put the package on high priority got on its case. I was still stressed because the tracking service was not updating and it was at huge Gateway distribution centre since Dec 30, 2018, and with all the back log due to the strike i was concerned on delivery delays. I called back on Jan 2, 2018 to talk to the supervisor again, and I was gonna ask if I can go pick it up myself (Ur still not allowed to), but then she said, I have good news, your package has arrived in your city as of this morning and should be at the post office for pick up at 11am. I was so happy, so much stress during this past week. As an overview, XpressPost is 2-5 business days Excluding all the interruptions (holidays), my package did arrive in that time frame. It may be beneficial to speak to a supervisor to expedite ur process if u have a flight booked from b4. So happy now to be going and seeing my husband. New Year, new chapter! All the best to everyone!
  3. I just finished submitting all my documents ONLINE at the CEAC site this morning Dec. 2, 2018. How long will it take them to review and close my case?

  5. Hello I would like to know how long the case stays in the NVC. We received our notice of immigrant visa creation on October 10, 2018. I have read that according to the timeline, it takes approximately 2-3 months but I know that the time can vary. Please let me know your experience with the NVC. Thank you
  6. Hi! I really need some help to clear my doubt! My husband and I are waiting for the appointment for his CR1 visa! We got it in CD Juarez Mexico but we still haven't get a date and it's been 3 months since the NVC put us on a waiting list. I know that there's a queue list to check the estimate of time for an interview in the different types of visas but CR1 isn't there! If someone could just tell how long does it take to get an appointment for CD Juarez Thank you
  7. Hey! My husband filed my case under f2a in June’17. Its been a year. But I’m curious about something else, there’s a cousin of my friend who got married 2 months ago with a Pakistani guy. They both are Pakistani. And she moved to USA within two months with her husband! How’s this possible? They moved permanently. And her husband is doctor! I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just want to know how this could be possible
  8. Hi All. My Fiancé applied for a K1 Visa for me in March and I'm hoping to get some insight from others in the same position - I know it's early days for us compared to some of you and I realize the current processing times are showing 5 - 7 months, but I also see case inquiries are back in November so I'm just wondering how long everyone's been waiting? I am a freelance designer so am able to work pretty much anywhere with my Australian clients, so I had been going back and forth between Australia and the US staying for 2weeks - 3months at a time (on a B1 tourist visa I attained a few years ago when I backpacked the US) But on my last visit to the US in January I was taken in for questioning and told it didn't look good that I was spending so much time there and I was only able to stay for 1 month and told that we needed to find an alternative arrangement if we wanted to continue our relationship, and so we got engaged (love also had something to do with it haha). So now I'm back in Australia waiting and continuously checking our visa status (a useless and heartbreaking process). Going 7+ months apart is looking extremely excruciating so I'd love to be able to go over midway for a few weeks to spend some time together but I'm scared they won't let me in with my history. Any ideas? How long is the process taking for others? Thanks and good luck everyone!
  9. Hi All Package mailed 14-May, tracked as received 16-May at Laguna CA service center. I'm starting to worry they lost my package. It's been 22 days. Anyone else have timings to share? Thx.
  10. My wife and i are currently living in Thailand for the past three months. We applied for citizenship (n400) in September 2017 at the Santa Ana Office in California. Everything has went smoothly. We just got an interview apointment for the end of June. My question is, i am really busy with work. I need to know how much time we need to be in the usa to complete the entire process (interview, oath, receiving passport... whatever else?). I have tried to figure out time frames for stuff like this in the past, and been way off base causing myself huge problems. Her English is pretty darned good, and she has studied for dozens of hours for the test. I would be very appreciative to anyone who could provide me with a conservative timeframe we will need to be in the usa from that end of June date, so i can buy the plane tickets and plan my work schedule. Thank you!
  11. How long do i have to apply for the aos after getting married
  12. Hi All. I know that every case is individual and etc. But we are planning an overseas honeymoon once we cross that bridge, and I was wondering how long on average it takes to process all steps- AOS, getting a work permit, green cards and etc. before you are able to leave the country legally and come back legally without a headache? Somewhere I read it takes 10-12 moths for AOS and receiving a green card, which would mean I'd have to stay stateside for at least a year before we take our honeymoon trip? somewhere it said 3-4 months. It is confusing. The thing is, this would affect our plans for the nearest future which is why I am concerned. Thank you!
  13. How accurate was the Processing Estimates/Stats for your K1 NOA2 on the 'Immigration Timeline'? Leave you comments !
  14. Just wondering how long it is taking people to get scheduled an interview from when they submit the DS-260 and I-864 forms. Not sure if that is NOA2 or something else. Tried to use the section of this website that explains but ended up a bit confused.
  15. Hey there everyone, I am a little curious about the time frame for hearing back about I-130 approval. My spouse visa I-130 package arrived January 4, 2018. It is now almost May and I have not heard anything from them besides the initial email and letter confirming the receipt number. My case status online has not been updated since the Receipt Number saying case was received. I dont even know where or if it is being processed or if its in back log and sent to another location from the original USCIS Chicago Lockbox. I did some research and saw the basic I-130 package for approval can take 3-7 months. After, it will take another 3-6 months for the additional documentation, interview, and the visa to arrive. I have also found a link that you can check processing times on the USCIS website. But, I do not know the field office or field center and when checked it has not been updated since 2017. How does the processing work? Does it take 3-6 months to be notified of the location and receive a case number? Do you learn this information at the first approval or when they seek additional information? I am getting a little worried. Also, I found out my wife is now 10 weeks pregnant. Do I need to inform the USCIS people before the birth if the birth is outside the country? I was doing research on the Japan USA embassy website and they say I must bring the new born within 3 months and the baby will be a dual citizenship until the age of 22. I just do not want a mistake. We plan to move back to USA next year. Thanks
  16. We received notice from the NVC (March 9th) that the embassy approved our expedite request, for our application which was originally sent May 2017. We requested because our daughter is aging out in weeks, and from what we understand, has to be "feet on soil" in the US no later than her 18th birthday to qualify for citizenship (I am a US citizen petitioning for her). My questions are: 1 - Am I correct in that she HAS to be feet on US soil by her 18th birthday to automatically qualify for US Citizenship, or is there some type of "exemption" or other that I don't know about yet? 2 - Any ideas as far as timeframes for the documents to be received by the embassy from the NVC? And embassy processing times - as I am quickly running out of time (see point 1) 3 - When and where do I get notice (now that this has been expedited, and I am only supposed to deal with the embassy as the NVC has told me) for fees to be paid - and how do I pay them? At the embassy at the time of interview, will the embassy send me an email (or something) to pay online or elsewhere before the interview, or what - as the NVC/embassy has expedited the case prior to me submitting any other docs (Aff of support, 260, etc)? They have just told me that the case is being forwarded to the embassy "immediately." 4 - Should I still submit required docs to the NVC, or will they be sent to the embassy, or do I bring all to the interview appointment - or...will the embassy direct me to do something totally different. 5 - I created a profile with Do I bring all documents with me to the embassy at the time of the interview, or do I somehow submit them before? 6 - Are there any fees for the medical exam and biometrics? When and where are those paid? 7 - Does the embassy in Dominican Republic set up the interview appointment, or do I do it somehow/somewhere? Thanks for your help clearing up this confusion.
  17. Hi, my K1 visa got approved 2 weeks ago (Venezuela, Caracas US Embassy) they told me to check my Zoom account for updates on when my visa would be delivered. So I kept on checking everyday and it said in red Passport with US Embassy/Consulate. Then when I checked last Friday it said Visa Delivery information in black. Does that mean my Visa is delivered? Any information about this could help. Thank you!
  18. I received my NOA 2 a month ago. What is the process that follows NOA 2 and how long does it take to get a response for the interview at this point for my wife? Also does it take forever for NVC to get the mail? why is the process taking so long...
  19. My wife finished her interview on february 1, 2018 for the cr1 visa. She received an approval that said she will receive the visa in two weeks. Two weeks have passed and the ceac status is still with the status ready. The only update was in february 7th, 2018 on the ceac. We thought this step was easy and scheduled the flight for march 7th. Again, they have proved to be untrustworthy. I am not sure how we trust the state department with security when they can't even be trusted with information. In any case, the only way to communicate with the cairo US embassy is via email and they replied with a generic message with bad english ,which begs the question on how the hell this is a united states embassy, that the case is with the officer's review and is being processed. " Thank you for your email. Please note that the file with the officer for his review, once we finish our procedures, we will process the case to conclusion. " Part of another email reply is an faq that states that they do their best to get it within three weeks. The paper at the end of the interview said within two weeks, their "frequently asked questions" says within three weeks. I really don't believe anything they claim. I am actually disappointed that part of my salary goes to them, which is why I am a libertarian-leaning citizen. I have no idea what to do for them to keep their word like honorable people do. I want to know how to proceed forward. They seem to have this stranglehold on our rights without any due process. What can I do?
  20. Hello this is probably a dumb question - but my fiancee and I just mailed off our K1 application to the Texas service center. I checked their website for processing times but the chart confuses me... https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do Is it indicating that they are currently working on K1 visas from back in July? Thanks!
  21. Does anyone know when the ceac website updates? Is it daily or like USCIS where it can be throughout the day. Ive noticed just once a day near closing time in the United Kingdom.
  22. Hi Everyone, Can someone please help me where can I find the current USCIS processing time for I-485, which is based on K1? I can't find it on the Forms list at MSC on the below link: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do;jsessionid=abc3x8ylrOBJScyeqvRfw I filed I-485 on August 30, 2017, along with my I-765. Since then, I received my EAD on February 2, 2017.
  23. Hey everyone, I'm really worried about my visa and interview. I got married to a permanent resident of USA back in January'2017. They filed my petition in last june. He lives I Chicago basically, so is it going to take very long? Like i read somewhere it can take up to several years. I'm already dying lol. I just want to be with him. And yes, hes eligible for his citizenship since years. But due to some reasons he didn't take that. Now hes thinking to get his citizenship, will this make any difference? Cuz it'd take 6 months for naturalization process and then I'll have to go through the process of IR too! Need some suggestions and prayers. kindly share your experiences too!
  24. Anyone at NVC from this year get CC even though they've sent i864 with blanks? What I mean is that, there's parts in the i864 that don't apply to me. For example, interpreter signature. I didn't have anyone interpret or arrange my i864 for me so I left it blank. I figured it'd be okay to leave blank since with USCIS, I had left blank and got approval. A lot of people say I should have put "none or N/A" but others tell me they got accepted just fine and got CC. Anyone of this year get CC even with blanks? Also, how long did you guys wait until CC?
  25. I'm a U.S. citizen. My husband is an Indian passport holder currently living in Canada on a work permit. I have filed a petition for him (CR-1/I-130). I've received a letter with a receipt number on it like 2 months ago. How long will it take to get his case approved? Does the processing time varies by the country where the beneficiary lives?
