Hello, My fiance got the email attached below. I wanted to see if anyone could help out or has had a similar situation. Once we collect all the papers do we mail it to the embassy or do we take it in during his appointment? The police certificate from Syria was waived during his interview and they also emailed me saying it is waived. Now they are requesting it again? We cannot obtain this, should we just take a print of the email I have on hand that says the officer waived the requirement? Thanks!
Hi all, From the time My wife submitted all civil docs for cr1 visa to the NVC on the CEAC site to when they first got back to us took a month and a half. Her police certificate document was deemed invalid as Morroco has more than one police certificate document required. One from the court and one from the local police station. This was not known to me before as i only submitted the police certificate from the local police station. I just wanted to get a tally on if the response time the 2nd time around will take the same amount of time as the first time around (a month and a half.) I would imagine not since we are only pending one doc but wanted to hear from your experience for those who needed to resubmit documents. Also wanted to know how long it took from when all documents are approved on the ceac site to the time when they send the interview letter. And then how long from the interview later to the interview date. Any info will be greatly appreciated. The wait is so long and brutal. Best, Syed
My I-751 has been deemed abandoned and denied because I failed to submit the requested additional evidence (I had already sent these requested documents for my N-400, and mistakenly disregarded what I thought was a duplicate request for the I-751). There even have been two naturalization interviews that USCIS de-scheduled onsite due to this matter. Following this, I submitted my I-290B (within the requested timeline), as a request for a motion to reopen and a motion to reconsider. As of today it has been over four months since USCIS received my application and cashed the check. Would you reapply with a new I-751 application because USCIS cannot provide a timeframe for the processing of the I-290B we previously sent? My green card extension stamp, which is in my passport, expires May 2020.
3 days ago I uploaded all of our AOS and civil documents. Today the NVC sent me a message saying I needed to upload my 2017 or 2018 tax transcript. I do not yet have the one for 2018. I uploaded my 1040 because I just got my taxes done on Monday and they told me I had to mail in instead of efile because my husband doesn't have an SSN. Why does the NVC say upload tax return OR transcript if all they will accept is the transcript?? I uploaded transcripts for 2016 and 2017 but IRS just received my return in the mail today so I imagine it will take days if not weeks for my 2018 transcript to be available to download from their site. This is so frustrating!! They accepted all of our civil documents. There was also an issue of my birth certificate being upside down but I've rotated it and resubmitted it. But what can I do about this 2018 tax transcript issue? Why aren't they accepting the 1040??
