Hi everyone, My fiancée just discovered that her name on her birth certificate is incorrect, and there is no way to change her name on her birth certificate in China. Her name on every other document is correct. The authorities in China told her she could get a Notarial Certificate of Former Name. Is that going to be enough? I've already submitted I-129F and just received the NOA1. Another issue is, I did not put down that name on the "Other Names Used" section of Form I-129F. I wonder if this is going to be an issue moving forward? A lawyer from China that my fiancée consulted with suggests canceling the form and submitting another one with the name filled on the "Other Names Used" section, but I think there's got to be a better way. I tried to call USCIS, and the automated assistance directed me to the "e-Request - Typographic error" (https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayTypoForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=typoError) webpage. Should I submit one? Thanks for your help.
