  1. Hi everyone, I have my visa interview on the 17th of January. My fiance has just mailed me all the paper work and I noticed that I have the I-797C (NOA2) which is a copy sent by the NVC instead of the original I-797 (NOA2) that the embassy is asking for. Do they ask for the original I-797 (NOA2) or am I okay with a copy? In the financial docs he sent me there are photocopies of W2's. Are they sufficient or should I ask him to send me the original ones as well? Also - do I need to take copies of all docs or will they just see originals and return them (financial)? Will appreciate your input! Thanks! @Amnazaid @Sarac9

    Form 1-864

So my interview is on august 2. But i noticed the Form 1-864 of my aunt's was signed in blue ink. So is it okay to submit it as is? Or scanned documents withher signature is better? Please enlighten me. Thank you!
  3. I am in the same situation and just called the clerk of courts at my county. They will charge $20 for certifying the divorce order. It is a 2 page document that states that the marriage is dissolved (order of granting marriage dissolution). But there is also another 20 page document that is called "filed stipulation". It has all the guts of the decree like schedule, holiday time, etc etc etc. The county charges 50 cents per page plus $20 to certify. My question is , is the 2 page certified order is good enough or I need the the 2 page order and filed stipulation? My fiancee may get an interview date in June at MTL. Thanks again.
  4. Today I received an email from the embassy reminding me of my impending appointment within the email it reminded me of documentation that I am required to bring. Within their it requests original and copies of all divorce certificates for both of us. Now my fiance the petitioner has been divorced and when we originally filed we sent in a certified copy of his divorce certificate. This was the only certified copy we had and we never received it back. So now for me to bring to the interview I only have a copy I cannot bring an original and there is no time for me to get it before the interview. I'm just looking for your guyses advice on what I should do? We already submitted a certified copy during the initial process do I still need another one for the interview or will they have access to that certified copy? Thanks for your time
  5. Hello, Question: For the interview, it states that the beneficiary must bring the -original- birth certificate. My fiance is from the Philippines but has status in Canada (work visa; she is not a PR or Citizen of Canada). Her family in the Philippines does not have her original birth certificate. But, her mother went to the Civil Registrar General Philippine Statistics Authority and requested it from the government office. They gave her a copy of the birth certificate from their files; it is NOT notarized, but was printed on special color-fibre paper, has a signature of the representative who pulled the file and her name. Also has a barcode on there for tracking purposes and says "BEST POSSIBLE IMAGE: PAGE 1 OF 1 COPY" Will this be okay for the interview? Because it says "PAGE 1 OF 1 COPY", doesn't say Original -- but it is an actual copy of the original document (which was lost). I mean, they just dont have the original one from the 1980's... am I just overthinking this? Thanks all!
