  1. I just noticed when I checked my case on the CEAC status tracker it says that I have an Immigrant Visa Application, when in reality I applied for a K-1 visa which is a Non-Immigrant Visa Application. Anybody else have the same issue?
  2. Hello, I have been contacted by the NVC in which they notify me that my petition has been forwarded to my nearest Embassy. They mention that it will take a "few" weeks for the petition to arrive at the embassy and that they will contact us. 1) I have completed form DS-160 nonimmigrant form, received a confirmation number. 2) I have also created an account on the embassy's website and decided to apply for a nonimmigrant visa. As I was filling in the information required, there was an option where it required to select a *Visa Class*. As I was looking through all the option available, I was not able to find a K-1 visa type. On the following website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html You, the foreign-citizen fiancé(e), (and eligible children applying for K-2 visas) will be required to bring the following forms and documents to the visa interview: Completed Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. You (and any eligible children applying for K-2 visas) must: (1) complete Form DS-160 and (2) print the DS-160 confirmation page to bring to your interview. It clearly states to complete form DS-160(nonimmigrant), which I have already done so. On this link: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/all-visa-categories.html The Nonimmigrant Visa Categories section states the following: K nonimmigrant visas – For U.S. citizen fiancé(e) and spouse for immigration related purposes. Refer to Immigrant Visa Categories. The Immigrant Visa Category states the following: Important Notes: *K Visas – Listed with immigrant visas because they are for immigration related purposes. Now I go to my embasssy's website and go through the nonimmgrant visa and cannot find information related to my K1 visa class. The next step I take is to go to the Inmmigrant visa type section and find the following link: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-3-submit-visa-application-form.html According to the link it says that I would need to apply for the visa using the form DS-260. My question would be, should delete/deactivate the previous form(DS-160) I completed and fill out a new form (DS-260)? I understand I may need to wait in order for the NVC to contact me whenever they have receive the information required for us to schedule an interview and perhaps that letter will provide information regarding whether I should apply for the nonimmgrant vs immigrant visa type. Is anyone currently going through the same process? Any information is highly appreciated. Thank You.
  3. I sent in everything I needed to over the Easter holidays, as did my fiance, and as of a couple hours ago I just got my interview date! It's on the 9th of May at the US Consulate in Auckland, NZ. Which I'm surprised at since they told me to expect an opening window on the 23rd of May - but I'm not complaining. It's one step closer to closing the distance once and for all with my soon-to-be husband. I'm trying to figure out what to do with hotels... my mother may be coming with me but just going off the price of travel and the hotel prices alone, I'm debating biting the bullet and my anxiety down and going it alone. Open to any advice or tips about the interview if anyone has any to offer, I called my fiance as soon as I saw the email, he's extremely happy ❤️
  4. So for some background info - I've have my 2 MMR shots that I needed as a child. I'm 21 now. When I had my medical exam I wasn't sure of if I had the shots or not (I've never had that info, my mother did but I do have it now), so the examiner requested I get my MMR shots and a Boostrix shot. However, even though on the letter I gave to my nurse who did the vaccines she wrote that I've had my 2 shots, on the vaccination sheet he forwarded to the Consulate it says my MMR is still required, despite the fact that he received that vaccine letter from the nurse before he signed and sent it. I talked with the nurse about it when I was getting my vaccinations done and she had to speak with her boss about it, and both came to the conclusion that a 3rd shot was probably not a good idea given that I've had my 2 from when I was a kid. What should I do? Do I need a 3rd? I have the letter that says I've had my vaccinations if I need proof, but I wanted to get another set of opinions before I decide what to do before I get an interview date.
  5. First off I apologise of I come off as rambly, my anxiety is through the roof right now thanks to a combo of a severe anxiety disorder and autism. And also if I'm posting this incorrectly - I've never posted here before. I'm submitting my interview letter tomorrow, but I'm super worried I'll have done it too late because I've worried so much about making sure I have everything. I had my medical exam last month on the 21st, and I'm just getting around to sending the letter tomorrow. I'm so scared that I'll have wasted time, which I feel like I definitely have in arranging the interview. I had an unpleasant experience with my medical examinor making me uncomfortable and I've had to wait and get some extra paperwork to forward to them to boot (All sorted now though) I'm immigrating from NZ to the US, and I have no clue how long getting an interview takes since I can't find a solid source that tells me a rough estimate. I feel completely insane, and I don't blame you if you read this and think so too. I miss my man so much, and I hate coming to him constantly over my worries because in my head I know there's nothing I can do and I'm doing my best where I can, but the anxiety is crippling some days. Today is one of those days. Am I worrying too much? Is there anything to worry about, or am I just driving myself mad with worry? Any support, or advice or just an internet hug would be appreciate it.
