  1. Hello, I was wondering if anyone experienced this before or if anyone can help me figure out what I should do. My I130 was accepted 3/30/20 and was sent to NVC. I received an acceptance letter but just found out today that the NVC sent the I130 back to USCIS on 3/31/20 why would they send it back and what does this mean? Sorry, im just freaking out as I submitted the I130 on 7/29/19 and was really excited to have it continue on. Thank you
  2. Hello guys!! Have a good day. Our case just got approved and I have a little question regarding the information they are asking on the DS 260. Why do they need our information about the educational institutes we've studied at? Do they verify it with the institutes if we have put legit details on the form? I mean what is the purpose of it?
  3. Hello there! My boyfriend and I are in a bit of a situation.. He's been living in the US for 7 years (5 years under the F1 visa) and we have been dating for 6 years now. He graduated from a US university and has been working for a US company while under the OPT stem extension. Problem? His employer applied for an H1b visa twice but he didn't win the lottery. Now his F1 visa is expiring in June, so he has to stop working by then and would have to leave by August. His employer is able to relocate him to Canada and offered to apply for the H1b visa again (with again, no guarantee). So how does he come back? Where we get stuck... (1) We want to get married!! BUT if we get married now [while he is in the US] and start the green-card process here he will lose his job since it takes months to receive the EAD work authorization, which we don't want. (2) So... is it possible for us to get married right now and start the green-card process LATER [while he's abroad and I'm still living in the US]? I can't leave because I'm currently in grad school. If we do this, we won't have time to live together, start a lease, open a joint bank account, etc. Only thing we have is proof that we have been dating for 6 years and we actually do want to get married!! What should we do? If you have any advice, we'd really appreciate it!! Thank you
  4. Hi guys!! is it possible to go back and check what we've filled out after submitting the DS 260 form?
  5. My husband had his visa interview in Barbados on January 15. On the checklist it says we need 2018 taxes or IRS transcripts. 2018 tax was the first thing available so I put that in the package for them to review at the interview. At the end they now said I need IRS transcripts. I felt frustrated because it said either or on the checklist. Nonetheless, I sent over my IRS transcripts the very next day and their response was: "The next step is that the consular officer will review the entire case and make a determination. We will communicate with the applicant once we have further instructions. We cannot say whether or not the visa will be ready within your time frame. Considering that the embassy will be closed Monday and Tuesday, processing will be delayed. Then there is the factor of getting the passport to us and getting it back to the applicant". I don't Understand why the entire case needs to be reviewed if that's the point of the interview and if we was only missing one paper why is it taking over a month to reviewed. I honestly didn't think I would be waiting so long after the interview.. I was so excited to get the interview date because I told my self the end is finally near. I also email again on January 30th and their response was "Once the consular officer reviews the case, we will provide an update". I don't know what to do at this point, and waiting is just so frustrating.
