  1. Hello guys!! Have a good day. Our case just got approved and I have a little question regarding the information they are asking on the DS 260. Why do they need our information about the educational institutes we've studied at? Do they verify it with the institutes if we have put legit details on the form? I mean what is the purpose of it?
  2. Hello, anyone here who had experienced AOS Marriage based green card interview in Las Vegas Nevada USCIS Office? Interview is next week...I'm super anxious and nervous....What should me and my husband prepare for? What do they usually ask?
  3. On dec 17th 2019, I had an interview for citizenship test. I passed the civic, reading and writing portions but needed to submit more evidence to prove my marriage. I mailed all of the documents with the notice ref letter on 1/15/20. The USCIS local office received it on 1/16/20. I felt relieved that at least it didn't get lost in the mail. However, when I checked my case status online on the next day, it said that USCIS sent out a Ref notice letter on 01/18/20. My husband and I have been checking our mailbox to see if the notice letter has arrived yet or not. Meanwhile, I was wondering if any N400 applicant received 2 ref notice letters within 1 month like I do. I don't think the government would get back to me that soon only after one day received my document. Right now I am confused and extremely anxious to find out what that 2nd ref notice letter is about.
  4. My I-751 has been deemed abandoned and denied because I failed to submit the requested additional evidence (I had already sent these requested documents for my N-400, and mistakenly disregarded what I thought was a duplicate request for the I-751). There even have been two naturalization interviews that USCIS de-scheduled onsite due to this matter. Following this, I submitted my I-290B (within the requested timeline), as a request for a motion to reopen and a motion to reconsider. As of today it has been over four months since USCIS received my application and cashed the check. Would you reapply with a new I-751 application because USCIS cannot provide a timeframe for the processing of the I-290B we previously sent? My green card extension stamp, which is in my passport, expires May 2020.
  5. I am new to this forum so I apologize in advance if I this topic was covered already or if I am against the page's policies in any way. Basically, the situation is that my wife entered the country with a J1 visa and overstayed. The 2 year requirement doesn't apply to her. I am a US citizen. We got married 3 weeks ago after 3.5 years of relationship and now I'd like to start the process for her to get the green card. I am a little confused about which forms to fill after reading the instructions in form I-130 and I-485. I am debating now weather to hire an attorney, a middle man with knowledge in immigration forms, go to a website like "Citizenpath" or "Simplecitizen" to help me fill out the forms, or to do it myself. This process is very important to us and I don't want to take the risk of being rejected for saving money. So my questions are: - which are the specific forms I should be filling for our case? Do I send them all concurrently? - Besides the forms, what supporting evidence should I attach? - I've heard there are medical exams and fingerprints to be taken; is it true? what else should I expect in the process? Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help us.
  6. I got this email from USCIS last night: Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR ADJUST STATUS Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production On August 9, 2019, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number XXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us... Does this imply that our application has been approved?
