Hi all, My fiancé just recently got the information packet with the Form I-134 (Both Sponsor and Co-Sponsor). The interview date is November 15th (US Embassy in Bishkek) and when I was looking at the email that has the list of items it needs, I saw on the Evidence Support section it reads: "The documents that may be used are: Affidavit of Support, Letter from the petitioner's employer." There is a problem with that part, my employer uses The Work Number (I have said something about this earlier, pretty much my first post). However, in the Form I-134 packet I sent to my fiancé, I included my most recent W-2's, tax transcripts, 1 year of Bank Statements, 6 months of pay stubs, a copy of my ExpressHR Profile with salary paid and if I am a permanent or temporary employee and a cover letter explaining as to why I wasn't able to get an employment verification letter along with adding in a pamphlet about The Work Number. Will there be a problem if I can't get an employment verification letter at the time of the interview? Also, what are some of the most common interview questions that will be asked at the embassy?
Hi all, We are about to go into the K1 Visa interview phase. There is a concern that my fiancé accidentally overstayed her B2 Tourist visa back in 2011 and was denied a visa for Japan early this year. Are these grounds for K1 visa denial? I know the only way to face these questions is to tell the truth.
Hi all, My fiancé and I had our case approved with the NVC. After a week or so later, we checked the CEAC website and said it was ready. However, my fiancé hasn’t gotten anything from the US Embassy in Bishkek. It has been at least 3 weeks since we had any updates on it. Is there a step we are missing or need to do before the interview information is sent to her?
Hi all, I am in a bit of a dilemma on the Form I-134. The NVC approved my case for the K1 visa and is heading over to the US Embassy in Bishkek. I tried to get a letter from my HR and explained it to the best I could, but would not write a letter of employment verification for the Affidavit of Support. He instead referred me to the Work Number. I know that I am not the only one experiencing this. My employer uses a system called the Work Number and I called them twice about getting a letter of employment of verification for the Form I-134, but they said that my employer doesn't do it for this purpose. I talked with him again about it and referred me to my company's benefits thing. I called the number and they were not of any help and didn't know what to do about an employment verification letter. I am really angry about it and scrambling for answers before my fiancé gets interviewed at the embassy. I have everything else for the Form I-134, such as the bank statements for 1 year, W-2's, at least 4 months of pay stubs, etc. If I can't get that letter of employment verification, what can I do? I also know that each embassy is different. Also, where do I send the Form I-134 (both mine and my dad's (co-sponsor)) along with supporting documents for the form and I guess I send them to my fiancé? I did send a digital copy of the packet that I used for the I-129F form into my fiancé's birthday gift along with all of the pictures of me and her together. I am lost and running out of time, please help and thank you!
