  1. Hello. I have full custody of my teenage daughter. And I'm moving with my daughter to my wife in the USA. My case was approved, but for my daughter they need a RFE (request for evidence). This is what the USCIS says: “The birth certificate submitted on behalf of xxx was issued on june 2018. However, USCIS is unable to determine when the birth was registered. Therefore, your must submit additional info documentary evidence” I called the municipality of my city where they issue the birth certificates and they say there is no such thing as a date of birth registration on the birth certificate. On dutch birth certificates it only says who the parents are and when the person was born, and the date of issue. (The USCIS didn't ask this about my birth certificate by the way that looks the same) I also have to prove now within 3 months that she is my daughter. Even though she has my last name and it says on the birth certificate that i'm her father. Very strange. Did anyone else had these issues? Did anyone else go trough this? Please give me some advice if you know anything. I guess I'll have to do a DNA test to prove to them she is my daughter?

    K1 visa with young kids

Hello, I've read tons of stories about couples experiences with their interview at the consulate in Juarez. What I can't seem to find is a detailed story that includes kids. In my case my fiancé has a 6 and 9 year old. Is the process much different than when there is only the sole beneficiary? I did find a post that said the mother did the medical, biometrics and interview first and after approval the kids did the medical and later went back to see the CO. -What is the process with kids? -Are the kids interviewed? -Is our going going to have to be longer than week? I received an email yesterday saying out petition has been approved and now I'm waiting for the packet in the mail. Thank you for you help!

    Permission from kids fathers UK

Hi all I'm totally new to this forum so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place or anything. What sort of permission would I need from my kids fathers to move to the US with them? My oldest is 7 and her father wouldn't be a problem, I know he'll sign it. My youngest however is 2, I haven't seen or heard from him since my son was 6 months old. He wasn't the nicest of people and would probably use this to toy with me. If I turned up at his work on his break and put him on the spot to sign a pre-written letter he'd probably sign, but if i was to ask him to meet me to get it notarised or anything he'd probably start messing me about. Does it need to be notarised or would the pre-written letter suffice? I haven't decided if i'm going down the K1 or CR1 yet, I just wanted to get this out of the way before starting the process. Thanks!
  5. Hey all, My husband has his interview in atlanta tomorrow. I tried to search, but only came up with posts from 2009-2012. Does anyone know if Atlanta still does same day oath ceremonies if you have a morning appointment? His interview time is 9:35am. I hope we can do the ceremony tomorrow too!! Also, our 3 year old is staying with his aunt, but our 9 month old will be with us. Is this a problem? I really want to go with him, but the baby needs to stay with me! If they allow the same day oath ceremony I'd love to go and pick up our 3 year old so he can be there too. I assume this is allowed, right? Anything else we should know? Expect? Bring? Not bring? Thanks!
