  1. Hi Friends, My SSN card says "Valid for Work with only with DHS Authorization". My EAD card is valid for next 7 months. (Received after my SSN card) I have few questions with regards to the SSN card: My SSN card says "Valid for Work with only with DHS Authorization" and I have EAD card (Validity good for next 7 months). Does that mean I can start employment on the basis of these two cards? or do I need to update my SSN card? Do need to update or apply for a new SSN card once I get my Permanent Residency/Green Card? If I do not receive Green Card before the expiry of my EAD card, do I need to apply for extension of EAD card? If yes, how and when to apply for the extension? Thank you :)
  2. Hi Friends, Our AOS interview was supposed to be in mod February but it got cancelled just three days before the interview date. We received the notice letter stating the interview was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Four days later the status was updated to "Interview was Scheduled" but yesterday again the status updated to "Interview Cancelled" and later to "Case ready to schedule for an interview". This is the third time in four months that the case status changed to "Case ready to schedule for an interview". I called the USCIS customer care but they have the standard answer that you will receive the notice. I don't wanna raise any kinda request with tier 2 officer cause I feel it will probably delay more. I am getting anxious now. Has such a thing happened to anyone here? Thanks.
  3. Hi Friends, We filed my AOS along with I-765 and I-131 on May 30th and it's been 5 months 19 days since then. The last update was "Ready to schedule for an interview" on October 9 which is more than a month back. We also placed a request to expedite our I-765 and send the documents more than a month back but no update on that too. Our field office is Denver, CO. On VJ, I saw people with similar timeline as ours and some who filed in June either already completing their interview or at least having an interview date which is nearing and we still neither have an EAD nor an interview date. Its getting frustrating now. I get their weird thoughts that they have lost our documents or doing it purposely. Whenever we call them they just give us the update that on the website. We also talked to the tier 2 officer but still no use. I wanna ask for suggestions on what are the options that I can try to investigate on my case status. Thanks
  4. Hi all, I recently placed a request to expedite my EAD based on financial difficulties. The two days later I received an email from USCIS asking for a proof of "job offer" to fax them. I wanna know from those ppl who got their EAD cards by expediting it if they were ever asked to provide a job offer letter by USCIS. Also, what is the process and documents that usually USCIS ask when someone places an expedited request based on financial difficulties. Thanks
