  1. I have been waiting for an interview. It’s been almost three months now and I am waiting to hear from the nvc about my interview at the U.S. Embassy in Amman Jordan any tips or ideas on how long the usual wait is from when everything is accepted till you get an interview
  2. Good day All!. I have just recieved an email from NVC that 3 of my 4 minor step children have been approved for expedited processing...and to go ahead and make an appointment with the embassy. It keeps showing no available appointments. Is there specific times they open up.new appointments...like on the 1st and 15th of the month for example?...or do I just check everyday? Also since each child is listed as needing an interview in one another's profile.....do I need to just make one appointment for all children...or do they ech need an appointment. They are travel I'll ng some distance to the embassy...and 4 seperate appointments and 4 separate document drop offs will.be a bit of a hardship. Thanks in advance for any response.
  3. Hi all, My fiances interview was in Jordan yesterday. I was present but not with him at window. He was asked 15 questions which he breezed through. He, like everyone else, was asked to have a seat and wait to be called to the last window. Once called up the gentleman asked for his cell number, given back his passport then said wait for them to call. No approval. Also No paper. No denial. No 221g. Odd to me. Anyone else? a
  4. Is anyone from Amman, Jordan has CR1 Visa got his/ her interview scheduled recently?
  5. Hello K1 Jordan Members 🇯🇴 : I thought I would start a thread specifically for K1 members for Jordan Embassy as my private chat group can not exceed a certain number of members. This is specifically for K1 as we can not answer questions pertaining to CR1. We are all here to help one another on processing and questions as best we can for I129F, NVAC, CEAC and Embassy all way through to interview and sharing results/questions after interviews. We are neither lawyers or professionals and don't claim to be so. So many of us are already at interview stage and have already received help from lawyers, visa servicers, etc so we can help best we cans so feel free to join. Wishing us all the best of luck in our journeys! @A@A @leng22 @A.Na. @C&M.2018 @Shrouq615 @jordan2321 @nkayx @Mya.Mya
  6. Unfortunately our Embassy, Amman Jordan, is NOTORIOUS for not mailing/emailing packet 3. Its up to us to figure out instructions on our own. Some may get lucky and get someone from the Embassy on the phone to detail it but that hasnt happened for awhile. Very unfortunate. So Im depending on you guys to help some of us here. Perhaps Jordanian members here too? My biggest concern is the required ORIGINAL documents we must provide. I did find an outdated list on the Embassy website. Let me know what I am missing here: - Original I-134 signed in black ink from petitioner plus a copy and a signed I-134 copy from Co-Sponsor - with extra copy of each - Original Employment letter from both petitioner and co-sponsor - Original paystubs plus copies for petitioner and co-sponsor (co-sponsor will also include copy of business license since self employed) - Original certified signed 2018 tax returns or transcripts for petitioner and signed copy from co-sponsor - Original Certified Copy of Birth Certificates plus 1 copy of each for both Petitioner and Beneficiary - Original Certificate of Non-Conviction plus 1 copy for Beneficiary - Original Civil Certificate Letter plus copy for Beneficiary - Original Divorce Decree plus 1 copy - Sealed Medical Examination Envelope - 2-4 passport photos Also - Valid passport and copy of Passport for Beneficiary - Copy of I-129F - Copy of NOA2 letter - DS-160 confirmation - Photos of us - Chat/Video/Call logs Then...what from the above must be dropped off prior to our interview? Our Embassy indicates no less than 1 week, no more than 2 weeks prior to interview , documents must be dropped off at Embassy between hours of 11-12pm on working days. They do not indicate exactly where, what needs to be attached to it, NOTHING. If anyone knows, I would appreciate it. Then last but not least, IN WHAT ORDER DO THESE DOCUMENTS HAVE TO BE IN on day of interview? Again, no one has received instructions or packet 3. Even those way ahead of me as far as I know. Thank you! @A.Na. @leng22 @nkayx @C&M.2018 @Shrouq615
  7. Hello. My case status is this. I'm a a US citizen petitioning for my 4 minor step sons to immigrate from Jordan. Their cases have been accepted by USCIS and moved to the NVPC. All documents requested....financial support, marriage certificate to biological father and passport have been uploaded and accepted for 2 of the 4 boys. All fees have been paid as well. One boy rwcieved an interview date of Aug6. They tried on four occasions to turn in the required original documents and medical exam to the embassy. Each time a new paper was requesred.....now they are asking for divorce papers and translation. They also stated they need to be uploaded. My question is.....why is the embassy asking for papers the NVPC center did not ask for? Is this normal? Where do I uoad these documents...NVPC? Thank you
  8. Hello, My husband and I have an approved I-130 application and are wanting to schedule his interview appointment. But there are NO interviews available according to the website. Does anyone have any information on how long the wait for an interview at the Jordanian Embassy will be? Is the only way to schedule an appointment really through the traveldocs website? It seems like a crapshoot, because whoever happens to be sitting at their computer at the time the interview slots are released gets to schedule their appointment. Any info appreciated!
  9. Hello Everyone Long time listener, first time caller. Thank you first of all for this group. Ive been lurking for so long and unsure if I wanted to create a profile but for the first time today read somewhere there were separate groups for middle east K1. I hope one day I can be of help but today I need help especially from those who are going through the same. We are a bit devastated. My fiance had his interview on July 9th. I did not attend the interview with him but was in Jordan. I didnt go with him per the request of our Jordanian lawyer who we hired in Jordan. We are a red-flagged couple so he wanted us to avoid issues. I would have preferred to go but lawyer said they are really judgmental there but dont act like it and if we appear to be an unlikely couple in their eyes it triggers additional unnecessary questions to trip us up. My fiance was also glad I didnt attend because he felt a bit of pressure just being alone. We had a perfect package, tons of evidence, front loaded like crazy, and the new security questions were covered with extra information volunteered by us and ready on a separate piece of paper. Everything was reviewed by our lawyer but the interviewer still told us we needed additional security clearance. He was given a form and he told my fiance how to email the information which we have already submitted. Lawyer did tell us to prepare for AP and it was unlikely we get approved on the spot but if everything clears later, we certainly can get approved BUT Im worried since after asking him, he said 2 were denied this month after being put into AP like everyone and sent back to USA. We took things farther and we included full print outs of our Face book profile pages, chats and online dating info, comments by friends and family members under our photos. We listed any changes of names on the facebook history so nothing was hidden per our lawyer (my name was changed 3 times in the last year and a half). Then we wanted his family history and whereabouts of beneficiaries family members their dates of birth and want their addresses etc. Done. BUT then they called his sister even though we never included her phone number.! The interviewer asked questions about my fiances siblings which were on the DS 160 but still asked. She asked about my divorce (red flag for jordan) She asked what my religion was ( I was born catholic, he is muslim and we are both not religious but its still another red flag again) She asked how we met, what platform it was and then asked when I went to jordan for first time. She asked how old I was and how old he was (Im 33 and he is 28) another red flag! She asked where I was right now, he said having lunch with my mom in downtown. She asked him what my favorite color was and he said blue which is true and she smiled at him as most of our pics and my facebook posts im wearing blue. She asked if we had wedding plans and he said yes She gave him a sheet a paper and said to have a seat and wait to be called again. We submitted everthing they asked a week later and 2 days after that they called his sister. Two updates on C.E.A.C web and nothing else. Lawyer said everyones getting a 221 g lately Im scared because he said 2 of his clients this month were denied after going into this AP review and eventually got sent back to USA. Is there anyone else that experienced the same? Why so many 221g everywhere. Its all I am reading.
  10. Does anyone know how I can find the K-1 approval rates for May or June of this year for my Embassy of Jordan? They have been giving 221g 's to so many K1's due to the new security procedures enacted recently. Im wondering if they even approved any the last 2 months.
  11. Hi Guys, My fiances K1 interview is scheduled on August 11th in Jordan which marks the first day of Eid Al-Adha, I am not sure if this day was opened for bookings anyways or if they opened this day by mistake? I researched others here who found out their embassies were closed. I have emailed the Embassy numerous times, called and no answer, tried US Travel Docs and they dont know and basically said if they will close they will call my fiance. Well that is not convenient since I plan on flying out there to be with him at the interview. Has anyone had a similar experience of have their interview in a MENA country also scheduled on Aug11th? I tried to reschedule to be on the safe side but there is nothing. Thanks
  12. Hi All I am a bit confused about my fiance's interview as it is scheduled on August 11th in Jordan. This marks the first day of Eid Al-Adha (August 11-14). I checked the website Holiday calendar https://jo.usembassy.gov/holiday-calendar/ and some Holidays are marked in parenthesis (observed) while others are not. The Embassy as NOT called us to reschedule as of yet and it may be too soon. However since i plan on being present at my fiances interview (yes they allow me to be inside) I wanted to get a better idea. Has anyone else experienced closing on Eid Al-Adha? Could it be they may still conduct interviews on this day?
  13. So unfortunately, Summer 2019 does not offer any more openings for K1 interviews in Amman. I think only one member here on VJ was lucky enough to find and book an interview for July 2 , otherwise there is NOTHING throughout end of August and I don't even see any openings for September (unless it isnt open yet). Note: Consulate advised me via email last week that they only allow 8 time slots per month for K1 interviews. I am reaching out to any K1 members here for Amman and encourage you all to email the Embassy asking they open more time slots for appointment bookings for K1. Otherwise we are all looking at interviews in September or later. Email them at: Amman-ACS@state.gov. A secondary email is ABPamman@state.gov. I emailed both addresses today myself and both sent auto responses. Here is what I said in my email which you can copy and paste: Subject Line: Case #AMM2019XXXX - Passport# NXXXXX - URGENT Dear Consular Officer, I am writing to you today because I am not able to find and book a date for our K1 Interview anywhere in the months of July, August and even September. On top of that, my NOA2 expires on XX/XXX and Im not sure if I will need an extension or not. I am aware that you only allow 8 spots for K1 interviews per month but it seems you may need to allow for more openings since I am still without an appointment and you have already received my package from NVC. Would you please open up more date/time spots for K1 interviews or book an interview for me anytime in the months of July or August? Thank you,
  14. Hi guys, I'm a Syrian man 27 years old applied to K1 visa and had my interview in the US embassy in Amman, Jordan 27 November 2018 They told me there it takes between 2 to 3 months, but until this date 7 months passed but no answer, and the last update was in 7 January 2019 that what that website shows https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== My fiance started talking about giving up on me because she feels it's gonna take a lifetime and after all that maybe a rejection because of my nationality (she is American). I have to travel soon and I want to get a new passport, is there any problem if I keep the old one with me(the one I applied with)? And I have no idea about if I have to go back to Jordan once I get my visa approved or I can just send them my passport. They have told me the medical exam is only valid for 6 months! And now it's already 7 months. Any suggestions? Anybody has been through the same process? Best regards, Leo. Applied to K1 in 1 March 2018 Had the interview in 27 November 2018 Still under Administrative Processing...
  15. Hi Everyone, Im wondering if its possible to transfer Embassy's from Amman to Beirut due to the fact that there are NO AVAILABLE K1 fiance interview time slots anywhere in the next few months ahead and Amman Embassy only has 8 slots open per month for K1 which is why we are having this problem. Way too many K1's this year. I can easily travel with my fiance to Beirut of course if they accept the transfer. Anyone try this and any luck?
  16. For those K1 applicants for Jordan that have already gone through their interview, what questions did they ask?
  17. Hi Everyone, My fiance is required to drop off documents about 2 weeks prior to our interview. In regards to the Birth Certificate for both Me, the Petitioner and my fiance, the Beneficiary, do I need to make sure MY original birth certificate is in the package he drops off or just a copy and then have him carry in my original day of interview? Same with divorce decree? Our Embassy has 2 different instructions posted in regards to this. Traditionally what should be done?
  18. Hi There, I am wondering if anyone from the middle east has had an issue where the woman is older than the man and how their interview went for K1. I know there is much scrutiny over this. I am specifically looking for people in the middle east (i.e. Jordan, Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, UAE, etc) to comment on their experience with the CO at their respective embassies. Anyone is free to comment of course. I am 12 years older than my fiance. Not that we or our families care. I am Jordanian-American, he is Jordanian, we are both Christian, very much in love and I will be providing tons of evidence including notarized letters regarding our relationship from his aunts, uncles, my family who all live here. Would surely appreciate feedback from anyone from the arab countries on interviews on this matter. Thanks all!
  19. This topic is intended for Jordan followers on this site. Have any of you used Nahda Translation & Immigration Services to assist and help you complete NVC stage and Interview Booking as a few Jordanians I heard have? What has been your experience? I ask because I used part of a whats app group where a few people said they would be using the services of Nahda, specifically Nisrene and Abo Samir were named, to book the interview rather than booking online. They said they charge $50 JD's and they you are able to get the interview well before 2 months which is otherwise the norm. I believe they check daily for a cancellation or opening and book on their end. Any feedback from anyone who used them? Thanks.
  20. Hello everyone! I (US citizen) just married my sweetheart last week in Amman, Jordan Prior to that, I lived in Jordan for the past 19 years, then in the past 6 months before most recently coming back to Jordan, I was back in the USA doing job interviews to set up a domicile, and will hopefully be starting work as a physician there in July. Reading everyone's experiences here and online research makes it clear that DCF is the best option to bring my wife back home with me quickly. I have an appointment to file I-130 next week at the USCIS office in Amman, and was curious: 1. For physical address in the past 5 years, I had lived at the same address in Jordan but as I mentioned I was traveling around the USA on job interviews for the past months. The address in Jordan was still available to me at this time, so I'm wondering what to put in that field. In other words, should I put all of the addresses of hotels, Airbnbs, etc. over the past 6 months, or just the address in Amman? 2. Regarding the residency requirement in the country in which I'm filing DCF, would I meet the requirement, considering the many years I was in Jordan, and that I have Jordanian citizenship as well? I'm asking in particular about this most recent stint in the US to establish my career and our domicile, does that have any effect on the requirement? Warm regards to all of you, and thanks in advance!
  21. Has anyone completed their interview in Jordan for K1 and willing to share the check off sheet that the Embassy in Jordan hands to the beneficiary upon entering with the order of documents they need? I heard from another person in a FB group that it would save so much time if we know in advance the order to how they want the packet arranged. Thank you! NOA1 - OCT. 4TH (waiting for approval soon God willing!)
  22. Hello All, Since I know all Embassys don't all ask the same questions, in reference to the K1 petition, does anyone have a list of questions Amman Jordan Embassy asks?
