  1. Hey, apologies if someone already asked this, but I am trying to plan my travels home for the holidays in December and can’t find information about traveling from the US to Bulgaria and back through London? (I wanted to visit friends in London for a few days on my way). I saw somewhere that spouses of US citizens are exempt from the COVID travel ban but I was wondering if someone could confirm before I buy my tickets. I am currently waiting on the adjustment of status interview but have ead/ap card on hand. Thanks very much in advance
  2. Hi, wondering if anyone has travelled to Europe and back to the US recently with a conditional green card? We had a family tragedy back in May but I couldn’t travel home to the UK at the time, which has been devastating. I should be able to at Thanksgiving for a week, but I’m very concerned about not being allowed back in the US because of the EU travel ban (even though I know legal residents and citizens are supposed to be exempt from the ban). I’ve read horror stories of airline staff not understanding the exemptions and not allowing non-citizens to board! Would appreciate if anyone has any insight to this! Or if anyone who has recently traveled to and from a banned area as a LPR could share their experience?
  3. Hey there! as the travel ban for whoever has been to any of the 26 Schengen states continue, I'm starting to think about the possibility to go in another state like Croatia, Macedonia, Cyprus, Romania, Montenegro, ecc.. and then proceed to the USA. I was wondering if any of you know the answers to these questions: 1) How can I prove officially my stay in one of the not affected states to the United States? 2) Would I have problems if the flight from Croatia to Miami, for example, made stopovers in countries affected by Trump's ban, but without exiting the airport? (like Croatia-Spain-Miami) 3) Has anyone done this already? Thank you in advance! https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/map-and-travel-notices.html
  4. Hello everybody, for the past 6 weeks I have been working on getting everything together for our K-1 visa application. I am ready to send it, but I am afraid we may have problems.. maybe someone can help? Background: I have known my Fiancee for more than a year, we got engaged in August 2019, and I have visited her 4 times (2 times in Brazil 2 times in Europe) My Fiancee worked on and off for the past 5 years in Europe while overstaying tourist visas, she was paid directly without work visas by her employers. First job 2015-2017 back to Brazil for a few months back in Europe second Job 2017-2018 back to Brazil for a couple of months return to Europe 3rd job 2019-2020 She never had any problems with entry or departure of Europe or legal issues with immigration. She has never been arrested anywhere. We have lots of pics including when we got engaged in Italy and Switzerland in the application. She is now back home in Brazil, and is going to stay there until our K -1 approved. I am her petitioner and a US citizen. We were advised to include all of her employment history in Europe in the application, work history as a nanny, in home care giver for elderly woman and house cleaner. She has never been to the US. Are we going to have any problems or get denied? Is the K-1 the best way to go? Thanks in advance!
  5. So my Russian wife and stepdaughter want to vacation with me in Europe ( Italy , UK, France ) , but they need Schengen visas . They only have temporary green cards and work permits currently . My stepdaughter is 17 and has very little contact with her dad . Do we honestly need paperwork from him authorizing her to travel to Europe with us ? She got stuck and detained in Russia already once because her outdated letter from a judge showing he forgave his custody to her was evidently “too old “ and it cost her a missed flight and “$1700” to get a new flight and new letter from a judge authorizing her to leave Russia without her father . Can we do all the schengen paperwork ourselves without her father , or do we need all the notarized , certified letters showing he gave up all custody of her in order for her to travel with us ? All the letters are in Russian , which means they are worthless without a certified translation . We just want to travel for once without issues .
  6. Hi all so this ones a biggy! My boyfriend and I met while I was working in Spain . I am working in Spain on a student visa through a Spain Govt program and get paid via stipend. My permanent mailing address is my mother’s home in the states. Here’s where things get a bit more convoluted, my boyfriend/ fiancé is currently seeking asylum in Spain which means his passport from his home country is not in his possession . We will be getting officially engaged soon and want to start the visa process ASAP so that we can be together at the conclusion of my contract in June 2020. key questions: - does his pending case have any effect on the application? - What can we do about the passport ? - has anyone experienced this before and have any insight . - What should I be looking out for when applying for K1 while living abroad? Thanks 👍🏾
