  1. Hello I was just wondering if anyone is going thru the same situation as I am my husband was arrested some years back for possession and assault the charges and was sent to ice were now we report to “probation” every 6 months the charges were dismissed and after that we had started the i130 petition, now it has been approved and have to start out waiver. On September is his court for the deportation? We were told that are best option would be to voluntary leave US, if he he does that and we end up going to Juarez can he still be approved for residency .. Anyone who has gone thru this same thing or similar i would really appreciate it.

Going to Philippines to get married

I'm glad I found this site. I'm planning on getting married next month in the Philippines. My fiancee, Gina and I have been friends for ten years and in a relationship for 3 1/2 years. I know that I need to go to the US Embassy and show that I can get married (i.e., divorce papers for first marriage, and second wife's death certificate). Should I bring Gina with me through this process? I'm getting conflicting info on this. After that is the Philippine court to submit the paper I just received from the embassy. I then submit this to get our marriage license. This can take up to 7-10 days. My question is is there anything that I'm missing in this process. I'll be in The Philippines for a month, so I think this should be enough time to get everything done.
  4. Hi there, my partner has some prior court convictions and has been to the court and received the appropriate stamps etc., for the paperwork, as required with the submission with the I-129F. Since these are copies that are being submitted, and I am seeing my partner over the next few weeks, should I bring the original documents back to the UK with me and take to the embassy interview when required? Thanks.
  5. I was in a strange altercation with a woman about 10 years ago. We argued, blah blah blah the cops were called. I had to pay a "friendship fine" of $200. my question: I have contacted the city in which it happened and there are absolutely no records left. Not with the police and not with the courts. Nothing. Zippo. She said they have been destroyed but each agency sent me a letter stating "there exist no records" should I even disclose this if there are no records AT all?
  6. So, for those who are/have Brazilian beneficiaries: do you/your beneficiary have kids getting a K2? My fiancee has two kids and one has the bio father's name on the birth certificate, and after all these years of absence he's all of a sudden now raising a stink about his son going to the States. Either way, apparently when the child's name is on the birth certificate, the parent has to file with the court to get permission for the child to emmigrate. She already did that back in early July when we filed and haven't heard back (not unusual for down there as I understand it). ANYWAYS, have any of you dealt with this or know anyone else that has? How'd it go and more importantly, how long did it take? This part is the real potential wrinkle in our plans if for no other reason than we're worried she could get approved for the visa then have it expire while we're still waiting on this to get through.
