I wondered if anyone knows whether the officer for the consular interview has the documents submitted for the I-140 NIW petition by the applicant? Of course, I am aware that the officer may request a copy of any such document submitted for the petition and I would have to provide it, but I have never read/heard that happening. But I do know that the officer usually asks questions related to the petition (like "what is your field/job" and "what do intend to do in the US" and "what's your plan for that if you don't have a job offer yet"), and as long as you give consistent answers to those questions, you should be fine. Now it is my understanding that all the information that the consulate has on the applicant is all the information that the NVC sends to the consulate which is basically all the documents that the applicant submitted to NVC in the first place when filing DS-260. For EB2-NIW, we know that those docs required to be submitted to NVC do not include anything from the NIW petition itself. However, I thought that it might be possible that when USCIS notifies the NVC of the approval of the petition (by sending that approval notice letter to the State Dept), they might also provide additional information regarding the petition (like maybe some docs submitted by the applicant for the I-140 NIW petition). So then the NVC would have such docs and would share it with the consulate. So long story short, has anyone read/known about an interviewer having the I-140 NIW petition docs by themselves and asking questions from them directly? Anything that could help answer this is appreciated
