  1. Hey guys. My husband had his interview for a CR1 spouse visa at the Beirut lebanon embassy back in March 2021 and we have been waiting for 6 months now in administrative processing and we still have not gotten any response except that his case is still pending AP. We filed a writ of mandamus action and still no response. Does anyone have any experience with them? We still haven’t passed the 60 days they are allowed with the mandamus action, but does anyone have experience of a possibility that the embassy would surpass the 60 days and not respond? We are soooo worried and so desperate for help!!
  2. Hi guys, just wanted to show my K-1 visa journey to keep hope alive for whoever is still waiting out there! We applied March 5 NAO1 March 9 NOA2 October 26, such a relief NVC called November 10 and case was sent to Beirut embassy Case Status Ready December 17 Interview March 8. It lasted 3 minutes and they only asked: "How did you meet?" "Where does she live?" "Do you belong to the same church?" "What are the wedding plans?" They never checked our photos, call logs, messages, or anything besides the required I-134, DS160 confirmation etc. He took a giant file with in but they never looked at anything in there. He got an approval letter and was told to come pick up the visa by next week. Online it says the Lebanese embassy is not doing any interviews only emergency cases, but we still went ahead and got the documents once the case status was ready, and found an interview spot!! Good luck to everyone, hope all to be reunited soon
  3. Hi all, Wanted to get everyone's advice on experience in the current Covid world on transferring embassies. My husband is a Lebanese citizen but lives/works in KSA. We have been DQ since March 2020. Riyadh just started doing Cr1 interviews and it looks like there is roughly a 7 month wait. We are thinking of transferring his case to the Beirut embassy, as it looks like things are moving faster there and there are giving out quite a few Cr1 visas. I wanted to see if anyone on here and has recently had an interview in Beirut (or Riyadh) or been scheduled one? What was your timeline like? Curious to see if the processing delay/transition would be worth it. Thanks!
  4. Hi, we were told by the US Embassy in Beirut that "Petitioners residing overseas in countries where USCIS does not have a public counter presence as in Beirut are required to file their Forms I-130 by mail with the USCIS Chicago lockbox. " We're just a bit concerned that sending everything through DHL is a bit expensive , so we're wondering what other Lebanese applicants have used to send their forms to the US. And can a Lebanese applicant confirm that they had to send by mail and filing online was absolutely not an option? Thanks
  5. Hello ! did anyone receive any visa appointment from Lebanon? my CR1 case file has been ready at the embassy since last month and no one contacted us yet regarding an interview, they said they will contact the candidates soon. My question is, did the embassy contact anyone in Lebanon for an interview? Hopefully this month all of us will get some good news.
  6. Hello All, I am petitioning my wife who is currently in Beirut, Lebanon. We are at the NVC stage awaiting an interview date. Which has been delayed due to COVID-19. A few questions: 1) Does anyone has a list of questions that we could go over that would be great. Or at least point me in the right direction 2) Any other tips or advice you may have for us at this stage of obtaining my wife's documents? 3) I am a US Citizen currently living in Seattle , as I understand I WILL NOT have to attend a separate interview myself, is that correct ? Thank you in advance. G
