  1. Hi All, After 9 months of waiting and wondering, we thought we finally reached the finish line with our K1 visa process, to our complete shock, we were put on AP, despite having everything that was asked of us, all the required documents, tons of pages of texts, viber logs, facebook messenger logs, whatsapp logs, pictures, anything and everything. Most of those put on AP out of Cairo have been on AP for months with no end in sight. I dont know what we should do at this point? Anyone been in this situation?
  2. Hi Guys I was wondering if you know anyone from Beirut been through DS5535 and AP and got his/her visa issued recently? Kindly Advise.
  3. So I had my interview last Tuesday. I was missing my family register. The CO gave me my passport back and a white form with a check on the missing document. I immediately got the family register and sent it on the same day along with my passport via Aramex. Now my status on CEAC changed to Administrative Processing. I need to know if anyone had a similar experience before. How long will it take? Is it going to take the same as the regular AP? I was only missing one document which I wasn't even informed of. Also, my fiance is doing a surgery next month and I need to be with him. I have a valid B2 visa. Am I able to retrieve my passport and visit him using it? Or Will the whole procedure be called off? Thank you.
  4. Me and my family had our visa on 10th September 2018. The VO said everything looks good but we need some documents from you before we can issue you your visa for F4 Category. We submitted the request documents on 19th of September and then ceac status changed to AP , later that week on 24th of September the case changed to ready .. but it said ready for interview so we thought it might be some glitch. It is still in the ready for interview status. Anyone with similar experience please share your reviews.
  5. Today my husband went to his interview appointment At the American Embassy in Islamabad and the result was really disappointing and upsetting for us both. If you don't mind, please take time to read this and help me out. I've been in tears all morning. My husband told me they took him to a separate room and started asking him the questions. He said the counselors were laughing at him as well and this made him feel so hurt from inside. Let me give you background information on us. I am a US citizen. I was born and raised here. My mother is american and my father is romanian. I am 28 years old and my husband is 29 years old. He is from Karachi, Pakistan. We have known each other for four years and finally got married in May 2016. We met at the end of December of 2013 in a chatroom called parachat. That chatroom had many other rooms in it as well, and one of them was called "Bollywood Chat". I was the one who messaged him first on there. After that I moved to Skype and we both video called each other and ever since then we communicate through Skype And Facebook Messenger everyday. I have so much evidence (screenshots) of our video chats from skype and our messages on facebook that date back to January 2014 on Skype. I know this part is very important for evidence. The only thing I didn't save was our chat from that chatroom on the first day I met him. My journey with my husband hasn't been an easy one, as I'm sure many of you on here have faced situations similar to this. We have been through so much with eachother. God only knows how much I love him and how much he loves me The officers at the embassy felt that both me and my husband coached each other and made a story up about our relationship. He felt as if it was scripted. What confused me the most was, he said our answers matched as if we scripted it. Of course our answers matched because we both knew the answers to what they're asking us. I don't want to lie about anything. My husband and I have been honest from the start about our relationship. Another thing he was asking was why both of us didn't have relationships before. He thought it was strange for an american girl not to have a boyfriend in the past. This really bothered me. Our lives are not scripted, this isn't a movie for us. We went through all the possible questions the officer could ask us, not because we are fake but because we wanted to be prepared and make sure everything was correct. This is the advice that is given to couples who are about to be interviewed. My husband took an oath and answered each question honestly. This is what they want. Just be honest and do not hide anything. We have nothing to hide. Our families know this too. The officer issued a Section 221 G white slip to my husband and kept his passport. The only thing he requested was the chat history/record of that day we met on that chatroom. I do not have that. I contacted the website today and they told me I cannot obtain chat records from their website because I was just a visitor unless I own a chatroom myself. I know that it is not uncommon to receive an AP in Pakistan but what I want to know is what can I do next? If the company/chatroom doesn't provide chat records for that day will the officer still not believe our relationship isn't legit? That's the only thing they wrote down for "general requirements". We provided them with every important document they needed. Nothing was missing. Is this just apart of Administrative Processing or is this something else? Our lives are not scripted. Neither are our families, and people who are close to us and know us. That's what really hurts me when he says this. I cannot be with him today if I didn't find him on this website. That website is the reason what brought us together. My heart is pounding. I am a very sensitive person. I want to be strong. I've been strong for the both of us for so long and I will continue to do so. He is my backbone. I know that we're both from difference countries and cultures but that doesn't matter to me. I can't change my love or feelings for him. Maybe this means red flags for others but it's not for us Can anyone please give me advice on what to do? I will keep in touch with the embassy and explain this all to them. What I'm worried about is the chatroom history log if the website does not have that. Please tell me what this means. I hope it can be corrected. Thank you for replying. I appreciate it. -Diana
  6. Hello everyone. This is mostly my own fault, but here's the story: I went to an 8am B2 visa interview on August 22nd at the US Embassy in London. I am a Swedish-Iranian dual national, I went to a university in the US and lived there for three years on an F1 visa. I thought even though I'm an Iranian national and Trump's travel ban it should be fine since I'm a dual national. The interview was OK, the officer did ask a lot of questions about what I do when I'm in Iran (sightseeing, see family), have I ever worked there (no) etc. He also didn't seem to think I had enough money for the trip, but I pointed out I am staying with friends and family and I'm not planning to do anything extravagant (£1,500). He did end up saying something along the lines of "I'm approving your visa, you can expect it to be with you in a week." I was ecstatic, and I bought my flight tickets that day for September 17 - October 1st. Huge mistake clearly, and I have learnt my lesson. It's been 16 days, 12 working days since my interview and my visa is still in "Administrative Processing" and it says it can take several weeks. My flight is in 10 days, but if we include the weekends, I only have five days until my passport is sent back before my flight. I emailed them and they said my visa was in the "final processing stages" but obviously they did not give a timeframe so they can drag it out for however long they want. I'm now thinking I should have applied for ESTA first, but I was led to believe that there was no point since I travelled to Iran in 2016 and 2017. So maybe they were right? No idea, but I'm feeling really anxious now because I spent £600 (yes quite cheap, check out Norwegian Airlines, but I'm only an NHS admin employee and we don't make much), and it's non-refundable. Thankfully Norwegian's rescheduling policy isn't terrible, I'm just horrified at reading some of the AP stories online. People waiting months and even years. All I wanted to do was hang out with my friends and go to the beach, jeez. If it doesn't arrive in time, I'm going to have to consider heading off for a last minute trip to Scotland instead since I have time off work. But what do you think the probabilities are that I'll get it next week? Honestly, I'm regretting even thinking about going now. Sorry for my long rant.
  7. hello everyone i'm the beneficiary of K1 visa , we filed our case in April 2016 , and had our visa interview in December 2016, and unfortunately the decision was Administrative processing, and since that time we are stuck there, unfortunately my passport will expire by the end of the year (2017 ), and i need to renew my passport now so i can travel to meet my fiancee in Malaysia next month. i read that when someone renews his passport , the new one comes with new passport number , and in my case that new number won't be matching with the old passport number i gave to the embassy in the DS 160 form - BTW the embassy is holding my passport since 3 months - so my question is " will renewing my passport affect our case , and will the embassy accept my new passport ?? " thanks
