  1. Hi guys. So i wanna share my experience with you guys. My sis had an interview in November 2019 at US embassy Islamabad and she was approved without any 221g form issued and no additional documents were asked. VO said she will get her visa in 2 weeks But then she was put into Administrative Processing for almost 4 months. Her status update date changed like 6/7 times. On march 3 her ceac status changed to “Refused” which was really panicking but later on we found that it was systemwide change and everyone who was in administrative processing was now showing Refused status. On march 17, 2020 her status changed from Refused to Administrative Processing again and next day visa was issued. So i have come to a conclusion that After the interview “Refused” is new term and once you are cleared you will be put into “Administrative Processing” status for short period of time right before issuance of your visa. Good luck everyone.
  2. My family was refused f1 visa and our case was taken under administrative processing in August of 2018. Now it is almost two years from the moment it was taken. Did someone had more time than 2 years? How long it could take?
  3. Hi everyone. My sister had an immigrant visa interview (CR1) on 18th November 2019 in Islamabad pakistan. The interview went well visa officer asked her few questions.. checked original nikah nama and pics and in the end kept the passport and congratulated her that her visa is approved and she will get her passport in 2/3 weeks. She was neither Given any form 221g nor mentioned that there was further administrative processing needed but now its been almost 6 weeks and when she checks the status it says administrative processing. Her case status updated twice after 15 days of the interview Does anyone know how long it will take? If they had to put her in administrative processing why didn’t they mention at the interview or asked any additional documents?
  4. As of today, our case in the Non-Immigrant unit changed from Application Received to Administrative Processing. Is it normal for this to happen? How fast is this part and is there a guarantee that the visa will be made? We are worried that it would overlap on plans of my fiancé coming this Christmas.
  5. My imterview was yesterday. I gave them my civil documents at 11 and then i had to return at 1pm for my real interview. The interview was super nice, officers were super friendly and nice. The interview didn't take so long as I was expected. The CO at window 4 was very nice and patient to me and I felt so comfortable answering the questions and I felt like im talking to a friend of mine while giving some details to the answers. CO said your visa is ok to be issued and it will be issued within 10 business days, but 5 hours after I arrived home, charged my dead phone, and checked my CEAC, its under AP that takes several weeks. My lawyer said its a routine AP. ( to me it sounds like everyone goes through this AP) I just want to know why the normal routinely AP and the ugly AP have the same names?! They should pick a nicer name for the routinely one!!😑 But once I realised my original civil documents are with the embassy too and they didnt hand them back to me, I said maybe this is the reason for AP to check if my original documents are real or fake since I'm a refugee in NL and they assume all refugees are expert in faking documents. Well I feel being labled as a regugee is complicating so many things to me by putting me in difficult situations😐. Just cant wait to return to the states and get treated as a normal residence as I used to be. Should I just not worry about this AP or should I keep worrying?! I'm confused between the 2 kinds of APs. Tryna forget about it and not worry. I was super happy when the consular said its going to be issued within 10 days but that AP at my CEAC is telling me girl calm down don't be too excited not yet we are still working on this. 😤 Any experience like this plz?! Why do some ppl never went through AP things? And why do the US embassy still have my Original Civil Documents?
  6. Hi guys, My fiance and I applied for a K1 visa, and I went to the CO for an interview a month ago while he put me on "administrative processing", asking for my resume (i guess im under TAL, since I work in a technical field). 2 days ago it changed to "READY", with this statement under- "Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days. If no interview was required, please check back in two business days for the status of your application." 2 more things happened- 1. "Case Created" was changed to the same date as 2 days ago (it originally opened on January 2017) 2. It changed from "IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION" to "NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION" Today (48h after ==2 business days) it changed to "Application Received", without a change to "Case Last Updated" (remained 2 days ago). What does "Application Received" means? there's nothing on google about it. Thank you all in advance! Regards, Dave
  7. Hey there! My F3 visa interview is conducted on 25th july 2019 and CO gave us a 221g form and asked for a joint sponser while we already have given one but she asked anyway. She didn't marked new joint sponser on 221g just joint sponser. The joint sponser which we already have given has income more than enough for 4 members. Now if i gave them joint sponser then how much time they are gonna take to review...Any kind of help would be highly appreciated.
  8. Hello all, I had my F1 visa interview on 24th July 2019 where I received 221G slip, asking me to email the court document and the passport was returned back. Court document was requested to me at the time of the interview, but I wasn't carrying it. Background information : I had visited US on B1 visa a month back and was arrested/convicted for over speeding / DUI while driving and received a bail / PR bond next day and was released. Next court hearing is on 4th of September. I have already emailed my court documents and also received confirmation from embassy stating they have received it on 24th itself. CEAC website states " Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks." For how long should I wait, I have already scheduled one more visa appointment on 6th August. Should I go for the next appointment as well or just wait for the previous administrative processing results to come out. Thinking I would go for that since I wasn't carrying the court document with me and I will carry the document for next appointment
  9. My wife had her interview on May 20 for her f21 visa at US Embassy in Nepal and she was approved at the interview and was given a white approval card which says approved and instruction to collect passport. The status on ceac shows Aministrative processing since then and after looking up on VJ, it sounds like normal after interview. Now when I log in into ceac on page where we uploaded all our AOS documents and civil documents, the AOS section shows INCOMPLETE and has 864EZ line item as missing. I already submitted the regular 864 during the NVC process and everything showed completed until after interview. They din't ask for any further documents at the interview or even after interview. They didn't keep any documents at the interview as well beside Medical and kept passport. All the copies of original documents, 864, tax documents and even the passport photo was returned back after interview. I was in impression that they keep copies of civil documents and the tax documents but they didn't and i am kinda confused. May be they just use the scanned copies that we uploaded during NVC?? Is it normal or did embassy mess up something ? May be that can bring impact on the admin processing ? Can anyone who recently got approved verify for me if they have similar situation ?
