  1. Hi guys, My fiance and I applied for a K1 visa, and I went to the CO for an interview a month ago while he put me on "administrative processing", asking for my resume (i guess im under TAL, since I work in a technical field). 2 days ago it changed to "READY", with this statement under- "Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days. If no interview was required, please check back in two business days for the status of your application." 2 more things happened- 1. "Case Created" was changed to the same date as 2 days ago (it originally opened on January 2017) 2. It changed from "IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION" to "NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION" Today (48h after ==2 business days) it changed to "Application Received", without a change to "Case Last Updated" (remained 2 days ago). What does "Application Received" means? there's nothing on google about it. Thank you all in advance! Regards, Dave
  2. Hi all, I am devastated! I'm afraid i got refused. My fiance and I applied for a K1 visa in Oct .16 after 3.5 years of relationship On Apr 6th, I had the interview with the CO. He was asking me a couple of questions about my fiance , then the CO started to ask about what I'm doing, so being a hardware engineer (bachelor degree) who also works with hardware companies, I explain to him in details about my job. He asked if I have my resume, and I did emailed it later that day.. He said he'll wait for it and that my case needs further "Administrative Processing", and handed me a letter stating- We are sorry to inform you that your visa application is refused because you have being found ineligible to receive a visa under the following section(s) ....- 221(g)- You must submit your resume 221(g)- Your case requires administrative processing which typically takes at least 4 months... CEAC status check- April 6th - Administrative Processing May 15th - Ready May 17th - Application Received (i have a different post on it, it's something new i guess) May 23rd - Refused and right under they wrote- Your application was refused. Please see the letter or other instructions you received at the interview. My fiancee called her congresswoman and she contacted NVC/DoS, they told her that they don't see any refusal on their records/database, and that I'm still under AP. I insisted to understand why am I seeing "Refused" if I'm under AP (according to DoS), but they just gave me the same answer- You're under AP, your case is at the local embassy. I called NVC today, they told me the same thing. What the hell is going on? Am I 'hard' refused?? Am I still under AP? Yesterday I sent a lengthy email to the local consulate asking for an explanation, and to this moment (1 business day), no response. Wishful thinking - maybe by 'Refused' they mean the 221g original soft refusal?( from April 6th, after the interview) I have to say - there is no reason I should be refused, no reason at all (clean criminal/medical record, no overstay, I currently have tourist visa for 10 years, our relationship is bona fide backed up by thousand of pictures together, call logs, letters, financial support, we were living together in my country for a year...) I ask you all to give me from your experience, I'm heartbroken and confused. Thank you, Dave
  3. Hey guys, I have been placed under ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING since my interview (21st September) for a tourist visa. I am a Tunisian citizen living in France, I am working here and I live on my own ( I have got ties with this country ). my travel history I guess was the reason they placed me under AP. I have been to Iran, Jordan, Qatar (as a tourist ). I’d like to kindly ask you if anyone here was placed under AP in US embassy in Paris, and if they granted you the visa , how long were you waiting for ? I started to lose hope in spending CHRISTMAA and New Year’s Eve in the US.. as it’s been almost two months since I applied. very much obliged. kind regards. I wish you the best.
  4. I had interview few days ago. I got status of case - in administrative processing I can say only that after that I can not describe how I feel. As minimum unmoral person. But First issue was not the same information in tourist visa 3 years ago. As its common I used for this agency for preparing documents. So they told that I have more chances to get visa if I will say that I am in civil relations as single. I did it. At the interview they told that I am a lier . I am criminal person. And they have any reason to believe me now. Our attorney said its better to say all truth now- because can be worse- so I did it. They asked many details about my personal life since I was married 10 years ago including who paid for traveling which I had in Europe, which boyfriend I had etc- I say such things only to really close friends. But I answered all that questions. Second issue was with dates in documents in divorce certificate which I can fix with local attorney hope not hard. They asked me to send this paper to them. Questions: 1. Is there any chance that that visa can be approved? 2. Maybe better not wait and to make another kind of visa? for family? it can take 1.5-2 years and who knows maybe they will do again such things as checking me like that.... 3. Share your experience about pink paper PLEASE. time which it was, how long etc. 4. Can I send this paper which they need and plus something that can prove that I am honest with them now. Any ideas? 5. What can you recommend? Maybe you already met such situation. Will be happy about all information- thank you.
  5. We were approved at the interview in Lagos on December 12, 2017. The next day my husband received a call from the consulate saying they forgot to ask for divorce verification. He went to the High Court the same day and sent in the receipt for divorce. Starting the first day of administrative processing. We received an email end of January asking for verification of business. We sent the same day. After that we received email stating they had everything they needed and if we didn't hear anything from them by March 30th then send email for update. We didn't so we sent email to get update. The update said they are consulting with Washington DC on the case and would update us after Washington respond. Has anyone ever been through the "consulting with Washington DC" phase of the immigration process? What is the consultation for? How long does it take? Thanks for any answers
  6. Hey Guys, my fiancee had an interview on 19th in Moscow and consular told her everything was ok and aproved, but since I am checking the starus at ceac and it shows me the same thing: ”Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.” when I look it up, in maximum 6 days everyone was getting approved amd issued passport and here is mine, not even moving anywhere.
  7. Hello guys, My wife had her Interview on January 10th 2017. In Islamabad, Pakistan. Its been almost 11 months and we haven't received her visa. Whenever we use to check the status, it was mentioned there 'Ready' . The beginning of this month, November, it changed to AP and then we received an email for a medical and passport size photo, eventhough we had submitted them at the interview. We had her medical again and submitted that 3 days before on 27th November. My question to you guys is that, what will happen next? And how long do I have to wait more? Please let me know ASAP. Thank you guys for your time.
  8. Hello Everybody, maybe anybody know how long can take an administrative process for visa F1 in Colombia ?, in October 20 I start my clases , but my current state is "administrative processing". Help Please thanks.
  9. Hi guys so last Thursday on the 12th of October I was told me and my partner were approved at the interview ! Yay ! However because I had "no live trace" on my police certificate Because (I shoplifted when I was 14 recieved a reprimand) anyway I have them a sworn statement with all the details of the case which I had discussed with Acro and they said they would need to confirm this with Acro but that I should get my visa within 10 days ! So I walked out so happy and told my partner. However we are now on the 7th day since the interview and I am starting to panic ! We have been on the ceac status check and for the past 4 days it has said "administrative processing" and that we can expect to wait "several weeks" 😳 Can someone please tell me what this is as it isn't clear on the website and I am really worried ? I've read so many horror stories on the internet about people getting stuck on AP for years ! I could understand if we were missing alot of paper work but for just one fact check seems odd, I also checked with Acro and they had confirmed my statement with the US embassy and emailed back to them on the 16th which was when the case status was last updated since then it has said "administrative processing" any ideas of what's going on ??
